People ignore the instructions to cross and walk south on the other side of the street, and simply step onto Yonge. I've seen people with strollers do this, suitcases, teens. It's wild that no one has been hurt yet. I've complained to the Councillor's office but I've heard nothing. Maybe...

    TTC: Major Operational Issues (Various)

It seems there’s another slow zone this week from Sheppard to York Mills. Yet no update on the website. This is infuriating. A 30 minute trip now takes closer to 50 minutes from Sheppard to Union.

    TTC: Major Operational Issues (Various)

Any insight into the slow order southbound from York Mills to Lawrence? It's agony, and I can't imagine this being sustainable for the long term. They just did a weekend shutdown, so I had hoped the slow order would be resolved.

I understand the buildings have issues, but at the end of the day I picture some poor young family with a baby or two, perhaps even owners of the units, having to deal with this type of disruption in their lives. Makes me sad. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly. Of course most people would...

I saw them put up the third crane. Having three cranes on a site like this...is that normal? They operate with their arms near vertical because they're so close!

I think there's a more complex dynamic...like what even is modern retail with so much online shopping? Many other regional malls have been faltering for some time. As someone else said, other retail destinations have reasons to be there. Eaton Centre is downtown, with so many within walking...

I disagree. I think the black paneling modernized the exterior while keeping the original brutalist design theme. With the presence of the immediate cityscape (grey roads, grey TTC station, nearby older grey apartments / condominiums, the 'pop' the black provides makes a good anchor point as you...

Someone else caught that on June 6 Looks like the price went up by a few million when it was last announced.

I've noticed this too. I wondered why Basil Box and IQ don't have internal access to the mall. It's only a few steps, but only having outside access seems quite limiting. Any one know how the L.A. Fitness is doing? I've known this mall since my partner used to work in the Cineplex Theatres. It...

While I would also enjoy an entirely underground pathway, is there not a barrier at the Beecroft Condos / Madison Centre? You need keyfob access somewhere in there.

This isn't going to be a popular opinion but I would prefer the new entrance over maintaining the artwork. I agree it's better than most found in TTC stations but I think the community is better served by more access to the subway.

A well known chicken company from the Philippines is going to open a location here. I think retail is doing well, but as others have said it is in a transitional period. I think a strong community presence and nearby transit will always make this an area of activity.

If there are investors out there who are swayed by anonymous comments made on the internet, I wouldn't want their money in the first place. I prefer a board of respectful discussion and critique rather than a cheerleading squad. Unless there's an actual serious matter that emerges, no...
