Im willing to bet that the 15M in required road repairs has already resulted in 30M in damaged vehicle tires, wheels, shocks and steering...

I assume that one of the main issues for the crosstown station at yonge/eglinton is the water incursion that they were showing during the press conference some weeks ago... I assume that much of the digging/re-digging and remediation being done at the corner at surface level was to help minimize...

Do we think as a Christmas present we can get Yonge and Eglinton back?

If it’s taken them 3 months to knock off 35 deficiencies at this rate they will complete the job in 12-15 months (assuming linear progress).

I've still got 10 bucks that says they dug too deep and ran into a Balrog.

so if I read this correctly, the TOTAL COST of eglinton connects is 5.5M? First of all, there's no way that all of this can be done for 5.5M! - but putting that aside, it still looks like it will still be split out over 10 years... which means, 10 more years of construction along Eglinton...

... and for the price of 12 or 14 billion, I'm guessing the latter when all is said and done, we'll end up with the shittiest looking Eglinton avenue for the next 10 years... just wow.

and if its 90M in today's dollars, imagine the cost overages over the next 10 years - it will end up costing us 500M I bet.

Mismanaged City of Toronto Infrastructure Projects

Wow... I didnt think my statement could be any worse, but stretching it out a decade exceeds my worse expectations... (and they are already pretty low) I honestly think that Toronto should just give up on all new infrastructure projects, no money, no time, no competency.

How about Eglinton avenue rebuild once the other screw up LRT is finally done? If it takes the city a year to build new sidewalks and bike lanes along a relatively short stretch of Bloor, how bloody long is it going to take them to do the whole of Eglinton from Laird in the East all the way to...

There’s something really “rub your nose in it” about ML putting out this in light of all the delays.

If they are still more than a year out, there must be some major deficiencies that we haven’t heard about?
