I LOVE Olive Garden. I just wish they were also opening up in Toronto downtown or mid town. Or even Scarborough some place...

    Hudson's Bay Company

It's actually sad seeing all the toys r us stores close. Over 30 million dollars owed to landlords. Hopefully his remaining businesses (ie Northern reflections, FYE etc) are doing okay. One thing we know for sure, Doug Putman won't be the one to turn to to fill any of the Bay leases any time...

    Hudson's Bay Company

Well, the stunt to pull is to be a second store under a different name. Sort of like how, in some malls International Clothiers has a store at one end of the mall and a Labels at the other, selling the exact same stuff. Same owner and all...

    Woodbine Centre

Somehow I forgot about those tractor trailers...perhaps paying more rent than anything else can bring in?

    Woodbine Centre

If Woodbine fair can last until the summer, they should convert some of the parking lot into a fair ground, adding in games & whatever. That would be smart.

    Yorkdale Shopping Centre

I've also just noticed that Pickle Barrel has Steak on the menu, but who thinks to go there for Steak? If a Steak house opens up where Moxies was, that will further erase (from the mind) the very idea of going to Pickle Barrel for a Steak dinner.

    Woodbine Centre

I don't. There's still some life in it yet, depending on what the plan is for replacing the former Bay space. HOPEFULLY not another liquidation store.

    Yorkdale Shopping Centre

While this might not be true, I am now suggesting that a Steak house restaurant will be the replacement. My research finds that Moxies and Chop house are in the same hands. Why not replace Moxies with Chop house? It would do well there, since it's trying it's best to be a classy mall.

They were paying a relatively low monthly rent. They were not paying nothing. In the end, they did get to walk away from their lease arrangement since you can't get blood from a stone. 🤣

Three good reasons to keep it alive. Dollarama is a nice touch also. The Bay was a strong anchor, but notice how it didn't even become a clearance centre in it's last breath? The Bay had some faith in the idea that a regular department store could still do well in the Woodbine centre. The next...

Forget this Dupont McDonalds. They lost my business when they carelessly decided not to offer refills on pop, and no self serve pop station. I recommend the St. Clair & Christie location. Everything in general is just better there, free refills on pop and all...

So does this mean that the Metro across the street is not closing any time soon? There were plans to tear down the Metro building and make changes there, all while moving the Metro across the street to where the Scotiabank is currently, but only after the new condo (@328) is built. (*or...

That Dollarama is a smaller version of other Dollarama stores. They never have any kitty litter. There's no pillows (if that's a matter, just an example of one thing they do not have) It's hard to find many things other Dollaramas sell. They need to be a bigger store somehow. As for the...

They kicked everybody out. Surely there is plan for demolition soon?

A lady working at the Dundas & Yonge location said something very similar, (as that location was closing) except more to the degree of select locations not closing. I guess what you're saying is what she either meant to say, or finally realized. As for the 328 Bloor location, the...
