    Brampton Transit/Zum

Ridership is down this year, nearly 20% from 2024, and the loss of international students is being blamed. That's a really huge drop from 43.6 million rides in 2024, back to around 35 million. But 35 million is still very respectable, and hopefully means that service cuts will not be coming...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Where was David Miller? (I ask as I ride this slow tram.)

Well, then TTC employee stabbed customer first at Dundas Station last week: Toronto police Woman and man charged with assault and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ttc-employee-stabbing-dundas-station-9.7006046

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Yes. It always struck me as odd there being so many northbound on-ramps without corresponding off-ramps. The Dundas ramp is easily the most expendable.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Oh yeah, for a rail underpass that is still not in use by any train and may never be (depending on the ALTO alignment).

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Getting very off topic now, but my guess the bus was orange, not red.

If you act Wouldn’t be the 40, as it would have been tethered by overhead wires at the time!

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Please read my complete post. I noted a few issues when riding that bus, and that a Starbucks and a public washroom is very close to the Humber College bus loop as well.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I went out on Wedesday to ride the 36C and see how it will compare with Line 6. I had a really annoying trip where the operator just abandoned the bus one stop away from Humber College and went into a Starbucks for eight minutes. At least that shouldn't happen on Line 6...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I mean that’s what they’re doing. There’s 30 minute train service to Bramalea most of the time on weekdays now and in the afternoon/early evening on weekends (it should be at all times, but I digress). Mount Pleasant isn’t a problem, it’s Downtown Brampton. And that’s in the planning stages...

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

Scarborough Junction would be just fine! That’s what the station was originally known as.

    The Retail Apocalypse

What are the others, though? I was at the Dufferin Mall store in early October, looking for a gift for my nephew. I ended up at Walmart instead, which had a better selection of the building toys he likes most. It was a particularly disappointing experience.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

At least this one lines up the stations on Line 1. But again, it's really silly to have the streetcars on the same map as the subway as they're really the equivalent of local bus routes.
