Yeah, I’ve gassed up a few times at that Petro Canada,, and walked by it many, many times. While it’s a sketchy corner, the worst that’ll happen to most people is to be approached for change while pumping. I’m more eager to see that old auto service station and parking lot across the street...

That’s true, though when I was there in May 2012, I would have liked to be able to go over to Moose Factory, which is an old HBC trading post with some of the historic buildings still standing. There was no ferry yet as the river was still icy.

901 isn’t cross regional as it is entirely within Oshawa, but it’s no surprise that it is the second busiest route because it serves Durham College/Ontario Tech and a lot of higher density areas in Oshawa. The next busiest non-regional route there is 302, which is way down the list.

St. Roch isn’t actually that bad for Quebec City, actually, as St. Roch is the old commercial centre just north (and below) the National Assembly and Old City. But “Kingson–Murvale” is a really silly place for a station. And the Hamilton station placement makes me think he mixed up his HSRs.

That’s pretty much going to destroy the regional connections to cities like Buffalo, Des Moines, Milwaukee, OKC, where the flights are largely Dash turboprops, CRJs, or A220s. They can’t be all Brazilian Embraers.

It was especially myopic for the REM not to continue just that one last stop to Dorval Station for the VIA, Exo, and STM bus connections.
