Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

This was bound to happen. The company struggles to keep talent as they pay below average and have really high turnover. Plus they are cheap as they come. Harbourfront and 777 Bay as well has had rodent problems this summer.

    LCBO / The Beer Store

I would put my money on the deposit program going away and just goes to the blue box. While there are questions to be answers. Will grocery have to accept spirit bottles and who pays for it? Is TBS going to want to take the cost on of having to pick up returns from these stores? While the...

    Hudson's Bay Company

Articles sounds like that HBC main supplier cut them off and they went to them recently. It sucks that they took advantage of them but a litle bit of due-dilligence from the office supply company shoudl of raised some red flags.

If you want more Craft on grocery store shelves, contact Ford and have him require more shelf space for craft. Loblaws is going to stay with the products that sell Flying Monkey, Muskoka, Steam Whistle, etc. I carry Side Lauch Wheat but for every one case I move I can do about 5 cases of Blue Moon.

I wonder if the appeal for the Hot Bar at Farm Boy is losing its appeal. I shop at the Sugar Wharf location the store is never busy but the hot food bar is always the same items but looks like its been sitting for awhile.

Convenience Stores and Gas Stations in Downtown that Sell Beer?

They are still going direct to the stores. LCBO did open a third party warehouse Trillium 2 to help with the expansion. My understanding is that it would require some changes from the AGCO to allow a companies dc to store products.

Convenience Stores and Gas Stations in Downtown that Sell Beer?

Before the changes store like Metro had to match the prices of the LCBO and do it on a margin of 2-3%. The end of the day they wer loaing money. They treat it as a loss leader. Buy a 6 pack and hope you pick up some snacks. Now with a 10% discount, there is more interest by corp for the...

Talking to some of the beer reps, the stores were thrilled when Metro head office ordered it for the stores. At least if you break them down for single cans you get get a few more cents of margin out of them.

Most Craft Beer is done by themself, courier or through TNG/Prologix. I believe TNG covers all of Ontario.
