Maybe Well, Frank said he was inspired by hockey and ice on the AGO visor, maybe this is his ode to the olde hockey mullet (or 'haircape', as I prefer to call it). ...hmm, I guess he's got him looking north.

I'd say it's definitely a Habitat '67 homage. Possibly BIG had been itching to do something like this, and when they got a contract in Canada thought it was good timing to try it out. More comparisons will have to wait until it's finished and occupied, imo. I think the real genius of this...

Agreed! Imagine if he added some chain-linked fence to this, haha. I'm digging Bloor One's cleaness too, though. And I'll take this debate over one about spandrel use from some developer making buildings on the cheap any day. Nice problem to have in our city. Some beautiful new building going up...

Wacky prediction!:Thermal Spa closes before the Science Center opens and they re-purpose it for the new Science Center! (...then, when the next Tory government gets elected they close it too). But seriously, I'll be really surprised *IF* the spa opens, that it'll be successful. I've been to a...

I just assumed everyone meant the lack of spandrels, the quality of the glass, and the overall clean design. ...and from reading this forum for a while, ...emphasis on the spandrels. I put myself in the category or being pleasantly surprised at the quality. I'm not a fan of the overall design of...
