    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The only time I've ever reported or contacted them about anything was a few months ago by filling in the suggestion form (to suggest that they maybe consider boarding up the Queensway/Parkside stop if it's never going to be drained, repaired, or cleaned). The SafeTTC app seems to be only for...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I assume most of us who use the TTC do so to get where we want to go, hopefully without running into the continual delays of 'security incident', 'trespasser at track level', etc. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ttc-experiences-93-hours-of-unplanned-delays-in-july-1.7630391 As pointed...

Getting a little off-topic, but Peter Thomson is a new part-owner of Mosport. https://www.insauga.com/historic-ontario-racetrack-sold-to-member-of-canadas-richest-family/

    Hamilton Toronto | TD Coliseum Renovations | ?m | 4s | OVG | BBB

It seemed like the NHL was just looking for any excuse to reject the Hamilton bid (which had its arena already built) in favour of Ottawa, and it turned out to be the Hamilton bid responsibly saying it could pay the expansion fee in installments (supposedly 2, each of $25 million), which they...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I would say someone climbing down onto the subway tracks (particularly multiple times) is clearly dangerous to themselves. I'm not sure what the supposed effective "treatment" would be, other than not letting them freely wander around to keep doing it. Star Trek isn't real. Unfortunately there...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I would prefer that the province spend millions to open and staff more psychiatric institutions, if there aren't enough. From what I can see, the main problem here seems to be that the individuals with severe mental issues repeatedly causing the problems and delays on the TTC are apprehended...

    Downtown Markham

Instead of the mockable "Downtown Markham", it appears that "Markham Centre" is now the term being used for this area. https://www.markham.ca/sports-recreation-fitness/ontario-honda-dealers-indy-markham...

    Lamport Stadium Redevelopment

https://archive.is/6kVmv It mentions "long-term plans include building its own stadium", but I don't see anything about Lamport.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

25 Nov 2025 Kitchener Line looking south, from Dundas St W bridge looking north from Dundas St W bridge Barrie Line, looking south from Dundas St W bridge - but like a few weeks ago, there's no sign of anything happening along the stretch of track north of Dundas St W up to where the...

Why does Toronto pick such horrible names for public spaces, stations, airports etc.?

One of the more interestingly-named things I've heard of in the area is a real elementary school in Milton with the fake (stage? ring? "kayfabe"?) name of a professional wrestler from the 1960s and '70s. Google street view link

    Toronto Toronto | Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station | 6.77m | 1s | Metrolinx | Brown + Storey

That's from the rendering they purposefully note as "subject to change". Along with the bridge not being shown in the map in the video, it's then also not mentioned when it goes over the different parts of the station that are being built. And I certainly see no sign of it getting built yet...

    Toronto Toronto | Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station | 6.77m | 1s | Metrolinx | Brown + Storey

The article and video both fail to mention the proposed pedestrian/multi-use bridge across Bloor St, as shown in earlier renderings, that was supposed to provide easier access to the Lansdowne TTC entrance via Wade Ave.
