Yes I totally agree, the actual building is crap, but as I said the location is great. Moving it nearby (like the temporary tent) makes sense; but moving it so far away from the neighbourhood is a bit of a disservice to the area. But you do bring up a could-have-been-a-great-idea with the...

It's actually quite busy IMHO. The problem is that it's not very visible and welcoming as you say; they put the children area on the street front, which also means no front door there. It's definitely old - and there's a prevailing smell that never goes away - but I think the geographic...

Wow, I hope they have a good reason to block off a big chunk of the park now. Were they afraid they wouldn't be able to dig/build the foundation in Feb/March?

Yeah it's just going to confuse drivers that take that route often.

Oof yeah, The area is getting pretty dense with all the new condos in the area, so losing the Front street location is going to leave a pretty big gap. Sounds like it'll still be a couple of years away - hopefully they have an alternate plan for a library int he St. Lawrence neighbourhood.

Very nice, but that branding at the top is a little much.

Walked by last night (a little before 7pm), and they are already shelving! 👍 The bar Region looked far from being done - no pics as it wasn't lit up.

So the school at the north, and the park at the south, with condo buildings in between the two? Seems bizarre if that's the case.

Time and Space Condos (Pemberton) - Real Estate -

One of my previous condo had a roach issue on the uppers floors (at least 7th) - but mostly in the garbage room. Management seemed to handled it early enough, as they got rid of the problem and the roaches didn't spread to the units.

    Love the picnic tables!

Ah yes, snow plows - that makes sense to not have bollards. In an ideal world we'd have retractable bollards for city vehicles, but that's definitely too $$ for us.

Dumb question, couldn't bollard(s) be placed in key places to stop cars from entering the path entirely?

I love that they were future thinking and put the steel beams in place first, but my goodness, I hope they are prioritizing getting funding to finish the boardwalk. Leaving something half finished for years is just sad (and ugly).
