GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Their design for the grade separation at Scarborough Junction only had three tracks continuing east on Lakeshore, with no apparent room for more, and there have been GO expansion plans in the past with four or more tracks, hence that it seems they forgot about work and plans they have already done.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Someone should remind them they had rebuilt Guildwood Station with room for a fourth track a few years ago, and then seemed to just forget.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

There will be four tracks until the Stouffville line splits off, so the work must be for adding another track.

I'm going for July 1st, three months after we can expect an announcement ;)

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I don't see a mention of implementing Eglinton Connects, or the bike lanes at least, with this work, I would hope they do.

    East Don Trail Project

Yes that would be the location, it would be a shame if there doesn't end up being a way to cross Eglinton here without having to divert to an existing traffic signal.

    East Don Trail Project

I would hope for an underpass where that trail is supposed to cross Eglinton. It's busy and wide enough, never mind that the Crosstown is three tracks here for a centre storage track.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Which is hardly significant of course, those who think getting rid of two or three stops will make the line into a crosstown express service that draws riders from the entire GTA are out to lunch. And lets not forget that there are already two other rapid transit lines from Kennedy Station that...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Based on what, just how much time is being lost with the stops you want to remove? And just how will getting rid of a stop or two save that much time that the line becomes a magnet for crosstown trips?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

That anti BRT group in Highland Creek is going to have a brain aneurism over this proposal, And I like it, The bike lane plan that is.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

You don't seem to be dead set against the other surface LRT's,

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The surface LRT's were all planned for capacity reasons, your famed red bus lanes won't be useful to riders left at stops while full buses pass them by. The stop spacing can be whatever they want. so can signal operations.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

If there has ever been a ridership projection for the Sheppard Subway that justifies a Subway on Sheppard, I would for sure have seen it, and the subway supporters would have been beating us across the head with it every chance they got.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Does that figure for Finch include 30 years of maintenance and operations? I was also not aware that transit vehicles in their own lanes are burdened by traffic. But regarding this thread, in the decades that politicians have been pandering with Sheppard Subway promises, has there ever been...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

There would still be the grade separation with Danforth Rd, by lowering the railway corridor, not a simple project even without the flyunder.
