But how enhanced will it be?

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

The presentation slides I’ve seen show they will have a decently wide corridor that includes a service road along side the tracks, so they should be able to squeeze in room for a bike path as well.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Since most of the lines meet a subway station after leaving Union, I hope they thought of and are able to run trains to and from those stations, leaving Union as clear as they can for the lines that don’t. Obviously not easy to do at the drop of a hat, like they might not have trains in place on...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I’m curious to know what triggered the train to stop, like if a passenger pulled the emergency stop handle, it occurred far away from the operators who might not have noticed.

I don’t think I’d be taking and posting this picture if I worked there, making people you work for look bad isn’t a good idea

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

With Ottawa, there is not much of a point, no one would take the train to Ottawa instead of Montreal to connect with a flight.

    No more mobile lounges either

They need to give an idea of what this priority will look like and how it will operate.

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It was also that they reduced the order of Flexities to just what was needed for Eglinton, they wanted to cancel the order entirely but Bombardier fought them on it. The previous number was for 182 I think, enough for the four funded Toronto LRT’s, two of which didn’t survive the subways...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

We haven’t seen posts of LRVs stuck in the snow on the surface sections. So there is hope

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

An Eglinton subway would never had made it past Yonge, Don Mills would be a dashed line on a map, not many passengers could be diverted from Line 2.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Whenever this does open, I hope there is a protocol in place to run extra service between the two Line 1 stations for when a section on Line 1 is down and passengers can use the Eglinton to divert around it.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

It’s just an idea of mine, they haven’t made any decisions, my concern is not getting Alto cancelled because of substantial upfront costs and construction costs for the first phase. If there is to be a tunnel to Union, I can’t see it being longer than needed to access an underground station...
