GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This KI weekend service discrepancy continues to grow! Earlier today the GO Transit social media account was responding to a customers questions with wrong information, saying 3 of 4 weekend trips were cancelled: I asked for clarification in a separate post and got an entirely different...

I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a render depict something during a rainstorm, interesting choice to make

    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

For the longest time I couldn’t tell if I was misremembering 2025 being the original completion date for USEP, finally found a Metrolinx blog post from 2022 confirming this: Looking back, 3 years for a project like this was really ambitious

Some metal structures are being built at the corners of The Market, any idea what these could be for?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I checked the TransitApp departures for January 3rd onwards, and all I’ve been able to notice was a fully restored schedule. Obviously I could be wrong, but I don’t think the new January schedules for LE/LW have been published yet.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I think the social media representative is confusing the January schedule change with the December schedule change that’s currently in effect, because the January schedule does maintain 30 minute service between Union Station and Bramalea GO 7 days a week: This whole situation is ridiculous...

Definitely not implying this was an unavoidable problem. Maybe if we didn’t have 3 separate positions per train that all have different training lengths there would be more available crews.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This was done because the crew shortage has reached a really bad point, and with higher levels of call-outs over the holiday season, it was anticipated that there wouldn’t be enough operators on call to run normal levels of service. I love the service increases that have happened over the past...

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

Almost the entire western half of the concourse was covered in October/November, and interior work on that section has commenced. The big outlier on the west side is the utility room that will go behind the York West Teamway platform entrances, thats the only section on the west side that...

    GO 2.0 Expansion Plan

The councillor advocating for this started talking about it after he saw a post on twitter about the evidence of the LM line that was left on the PC’s 2.0 map. The same post that was shared in this UT thread. https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2025/ex/bgrd/backgroundfile-260588.pdf City...

This table is notorious being published with mistakes, I’m sure this is one of them The December 20th schedule also has at least one mistake
