    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

Just to play it safe, maybe extend a branch from Highway 413 to Highway 6 (Hanlon Expwy) and continue to K-W.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

This is Highway 413 related, and maybe 401 tunnel. Because really, a full Highway 413 ring road around Toronto (joining with Highway 412 in the East) is a much better solution than a 401 tunnel. The tough part is from Bathurst to Yonge. that subdivision is about 20 years. old. I suspect a...

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

Highway 10 follows a much more environmentally sensitive route (marked in red - Forks of Credit, Hockley, Mansfield) than highway 27 (427). With Highway 413 in place, 410 traffic could relatively easily move East to 427. Anyways, to tie this to the thread name, it would be the Bradford...

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

The route shown seems to follow a hydro corridor about 10 km West of highway 400. The 2 options at the north that curve earlier appear to be trying to avoid the Minesing Marsh. Anyways - I am sure they find a way of extending the BBP west of Hwy. 400 - but likely requires more cost and more...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

It's getting from Bathurst to Bayview - plus now there seems to be subdivisions underway in Gormley, near Leslie.

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

An Alliston by-pass would be another 22 km. It's only when that is need that this extension can be considered. However, if 427 is extended to Barrie, then a 6km extension makes sense.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Rob Ford (and Georgio Mammoliti) wanted it built as subway. That was too expensive. Doug Ford likely would have cancelled this if the Liberals had not already signed the agreement before Doug Ford got elected. Without that contract, Doug Ford likely would have cancelled this. It is too...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I remember so many transit fans were so happy when the Wynne gov't signed the agreement for this transit line in the writ period before they were defeated. That way the line would be built as planned by the Transit City group and not be subject to Ford delays which might turn it into a SkyTrain...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I thought the buffer was 1.5m. I have also seen the left lane on multi-lane freeways (i.e. cars only) with 3.5m lanes. Could truck be restricted to the 3 right lanes on a 5 lanes facility?

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

There are exceptions, but I think they want odd numbers for East-West and even for North-South. 412, 418, 413 all follow this pattern. Hwy 89 is not too far away (so 489 makes sense) but I thought I recall seeing a completely obscure number being used in MTO internal documents.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The bridge geometry (cross section) is different than a highway bridge, so they have to make new forms for it. Generally, having a plant to make matched precast units only becomes cost-effective with bridge of over a mile in length.

    Eastern Avenue Bridge/DVP Interchange

This one is the standard MTO barrier. The other is the City Toronto barrier (although normally aluminum colour). The MTO barrier is closer to the real crash tested barrier that is supposed to be used (i.e. required by Code). There is a weasel clause in the Code that allows minor variations...
