https://dmap.calgary.ca/?p=DP2025-06592 Appears to be essentially an office conversion adding several floors with an additional new building attatched to it. You can tell it shares a lot of design cues with Manu Chugh's other project where the Denny's is

    Calgary Regional Rail Transit

https://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/edmonton-to-calgary-high-speed-rail-line I think the province must've underestimated how complicated the master plan would be with all the stakeholders and fitting the rail into the downtowns

Yeah, I meant it's interesting because there was obviously no issue with remediation in general but that there's some specific reason they wouldn't/couldn't fix that one

It is interesting because landfill remediation was done for both Highfield and Quarry Park. I'd say QP was poor planning because the RoW could have been put along 24th street instead of down the middle of that block

A lot of these diversions were also not planned from the beginning Highfield curve probably to do with the landfill as darwink pointed out, Quarry Park I assume was moved over to 24th so it's actually closer to places people want to go instead of in the middle of a landfill

Since the design headway for green line is 3 minutes I doubt they could even get away with any non-priority grade crossings

The map here is definitely just drawn wrong. I think in a really old version of the alignment it was elevated over Highfield The line will run at ground level and pass underneath the spur through a tunnel that was completed about 3 years ago:

They're planning to change all the tires to the all weathers, I think this is just a result of piecemeal replacements as I've seen buses with them only on the rear and articulated buses with them on all 3 axles. But yes as well a lot of winter bus tires are only offered for steer axles
  12. whatchyyc

    Calgary Transit

That bus in particular had the new all-weathers on the front but the drive wheels still had all seasons. Honestly day-to-day they'll help a lot, but for brutal snow days like today you're not gonna see much of a difference without a dedicated winter tire like the Michelin Grip D that Vancouver...
