Oh so freezing the Yanks is back on the table? Sweet. He changed his mind..
It's changed again, now it's back to Feb 1.
An ant has no quarrel with a boot.
Let's cut off the power exports, make them feel our wrath.

The systems are fully integrated - you can’t just switch off the power at the border. And since nuclear generation is always running to some extent, any power not used must be dumped into the ground.

If I understand your reply correctly the only call for action that I needed to make was putting EXPORT tariffs on the vital commodities that the United States needs. I couldn't make that point without adding context which you call "soapboxing" for some reason. That was a lot of soapboxing when your call to action need only be the above. Danielle Smith will decry that Trudeau Jr. is finishing the job of Sr., but I’m all for it. Trump is trying to divide and conquer.
Do you have any better ideas? Are we supposed to just accept 25% Trump tariffs on our products while doing nothing to retaliate? Are we supposed to just smile as Donald Trump poaches the few manufacturing jobs that we have left in Canada while he plans to turn Canada into a US territory like Puerto Rico? No full statehood. No Senators (2) and no representative number of Congressmen (at least 50). Just a powerless territory with one nonvoting member of Congress?Maybe they don't like any of your ideas.
The Ontario grid is fully integrated. The Quebec grid is 100% isolated. And I believe they export more far more electricity to the USA than Ontario does. The systems are fully integrated - you can’t just switch off the power at the border. Of course, you can just switch off the power at the border. For example, there are automated protection systems that isolate one portion of the grid from problems in the other part of the grid. When these protection systems fail you get the 2003 Northeast blackout that affected Ontario and large parts of the US Northeast. There is no issue with disconnecting to the grid. The systems are fully integrated - you can’t just switch off the power at the border. Your argument is not with me. You were whining that the feds and provinces didn't implement any of your wonderful ideas>Do you have any better ideas? I have sent about half a dozen emails to the PM and Premier Ford and other Premiers and Canadian "leaders" suggesting a strategy to combat Trump's threats, but nothing has been implemented.
It's not isolated, but it is not integrated. Quebec power is not electrically synchronized with any other jurisdiction. Exports to the US (I don't know if or how much they import) are through either High Voltage Direct Current which is then changed to alternating current ('inverted') at the point of interconnect, or by Alternating Current which must be connected to the customer (US or Canadian) via 'intertie' equipment. The Ontario grid is fully integrated. The Quebec grid is 100% isolated. And I believe they export more far more electricity to the USA than Ontario does.
