Flames sputtered pretty good before the break, losing 3 in a row (last one with a loser point) and 4 of the last 5. Wolf looked less spectacular too, think the team was a bit burned out. Hope the break will help everyone recharge, save Andersson who gets no time off playing for Sweden.

The two weeks between the season starting back up and the deadline will make or break their season. It is a tough schedule, if you're well back on Vancouver and start to fall behind other teams you maybe should be selling on March 7 (trade deadline day).

I think they made it clear they aren't selling by picking up Frost and Farabee though. Vancouver seems to have righted the ship and the Kings still look vulnerable, so who knows.

I feel the Flames are really missing Bahl. He was Andersson's d partner and our top d pairing IMO so playing important minutes against the best players. Hoping the week off sees him back in the lineup.
I was curious how Andersson has been doing with / without Bahl (who I feel is a defensive dman), 46 games played before Bahl was injured he was a -10 (not sure if he played every game with Bahl) and in the 8 games Bahl has been injured he's already a -6

Predictions for the 4 Nations? Sadly I think the US is going to take it on the back of superior goaltending. Canada is the deepest team, but I don't think Binnington or hill will be able to hold it down the way Helleybuyck or Oettinger will for the US. Hope I'm wrong!

1-US, 2-Canada, 3-Sweden, then Finland in 4th.

I think the US not having Quinn Hughes hurts their chances even with stellar goaltending. I still like Canada as #1, I just look at our top PP unit and it's out of this world: Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon, Reinhart and Makar

Canada almost blew it, but Crosby came up huge to seal it! Stoked for the final Thursday!

Glad O'Canada only got booed lightly, and then cheered loudly after the song was over. Thursday's rematch against the US should be a bit of a different story.

Excited and nervous for this game tonight, we need this win as a country!

Flames are going to waive Barrie apparently. I was actually impressed with his game the last 2 starts, hope he doesn't get picked up.

I'm a bit nervous too. In the past Canada has managed to step when it counted, but this US team feels a a bit different than past US teams. Not only are they loaded with good players, but I get the sense that mentally they really want to win and they feel like they can.

For a fill-in for the all-star game, the weight of this tournament is crazy! I guess the fact that we haven't had a best on best since 2016 (World Cup of Hockey) and is the build up to the 2026 Olympics (last time NHL participated was 2014!!) on top of Dump and his BS has added some serious intensity! This is the biggest game I can think of since the 2010 Olympics!

Well all the hype and it surpassed it. What an incredible game and atmosphere, it was great to see the shots of the goal in all the bars around the country. And I loved what the PM said, "You can't take our country--and you can't take our game."

Now, lets see if the flames make a push into the playoffs now that they're healthy and Barrie is waived. Exciting two weeks before the March 7 deadline.
