I can assure you, it's not the reason for Don Valley.

Just like they were under all previous administrations. They’re like the corporate embodiment of Doug ford himself. Opaque, mistake-prone and stubborn as all hell.
Apparently there is a media event planned for this week for the new GO Transit MCI fleet. I don’t know when for sure, but this could be it.
Although, the counter-argument may be, if they can't foresee it working at a busy interchange station, how can they foresee retail working anywhere currently?
At least there are now places to dine while waiting for either the 20 or the 320 to go to Vaughan Mills or Canada's Wonderland.VMC station has retail (a take out place) now:

Even the SmartVMC YRT terminal does:

The VMC complex is going big league!
Well. We kind of do, seeing as how they're on day 56 of a 30-day process. It's December 2025 and we still have no idea when this Line is supposed to open. We don’t even know how RSD is going. Ridiculous
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF RSD!!! - per Michael Lindsay
But... the CEO of Metrolinx did state that today is the last day of revenue demonstration and that the project will reach substantial completion in a week.Looks like today’s press release was for the one-fare program, not line 5..
Oh so I should have watched! Cool!But... the CEO of Metrolinx did state that today is the last day of revenue service and that the project will reach substantial completion in a week.
It will likely progress faster for this line as the TTC has no need to do an additional training class for operators for Line 5 as they did for Line 6
So Finch LRT was handed over to the TTC ~Nov 3rd, reached substantial completion on Nov 21, which led (will lead) to an opening date of Dec 7.
So roughly about a month from handover to opening... Late Jan is a possibility for Eglinton
