Well. This is an interesting proposal.

EX28.23 - Endorsement of the Reinstatement of the Lakeshore-Midtown Line in Metrolinx’s Business Model (Ward All)

I'm not sure that such a line would even go thru Ward 24, but nothing wrong with Councillors stirring each other up about ML's plans. It may encourage some to read the plans more thoroughly - and maybe even ask about other things that are/aren't happening.

I don't think its about Ward 24 specifically but Scarborough in general. Ainslie is the Deputy Mayor for Scarborough so perhaps he's living by that role and bringing it up on behalf of the others.

Some of the Ward 24 residents can benefit from that line, even though it won't pass through the ward.

Dependent on the location of stations; might be as little as 2 km to the north, or 4-5 km to the west. And then, a longer rail trip.

I wonder where this went. Was it supposed to be voted through council yesterday?

Edit: Looks like it was approved by council, moved by Matlow?

Yesterday was Executive Committee and it was just a quick item (ie no questions to staff, deputations, or speakers on the item), and it should now go to Council next week.

It may have appeared to be council because right now one of the two large committee rooms at City Hall is under construction so a bunch of meetings are being held in the council chamber instead.

Is there a placemat or summary of GO Expansion 2.0 anywhere with the individual projects or goals listed?
Here are some maps made by @WB62

I would think Lambton would either be between Royal York and Prince Edward, or further East (over the Humber) across from the Loblaws (which could also provide access to an extended 512). Junction I'm less sure about.

God what a beautiful map, but I hope the midtown line branches to Oshawa via Malvern town centre (which is currently underserved by transit).
