The TTC and Mx are still working through some issues.

TTC expects those issues to be resolved and an opening date agreed on by the end of January.

So I would not anticipate an opening before February.

I would imagine they will try to line up the opening with either the February or March Board period.
In the press release it mentions "With this rigorous testing complete and final preparatory works underway, it is expected the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will open to the public in the coming weeks."

Weeks would be less than 8 ish weeks in my strong opinion meaning by Sunday, February 1. Anything later would just be silly.

Prior to the last 24 hours, everyone seemed to be predicting a date in December or January, as though February was out of the question.
I'm looking and that and thinking, I predict February as the earliest date. It could be later.
Someone said that Line 6 is about to open 1 month after testing completion, and Line 5 should take less time.
Considering how much bigger Line 5 is, I would think the gap would be longer, not shorter.
But I have to ask, how long have people on here been saying they can't imagine it will be much longer before Line 5 opens, and it can't possibly be more than a few months?
Oh yeah. 5 and a half years.
Rule #1 for crystal ball gazers: Don't make your personal wish of what you want to be true, be a factor in your analysis. (Probably the most ignored advice of all time.)

Yes, those of us who keep up with UT (and others like Steve Munro) know (or have a very good idea of) the opening date!! :->
Do we now? Unless we are guessing the February 15th (the ides of February!) board change. Though the board change theory didn't work for Line 6.
