Two of the new MCIs went into service for the first time today.
The conditions were so bad that they actually closed the road. I'm surprised they actually let the driver risk it during this weather.
Last I heard Trinity Railway Express and Amtrak were interested in leasing some of the equipment, but GO is such logical choice for a sale.Any word on whether GO will acquire the Northstar fleet from Minnesota?
Because they are currently fleet constrained if they want to increase service at certain periods.Seeing GO is still claiming they want to electrify the fleet, why on earth would they want the North Star diesel ones?
GO is not a logical place, not compared to TRE or Amtrak or any number of different US properties. The equipment would have to be rewired to match's GO's standard. There are no such mods needed for any of the American agencies.Last I heard Trinity Railway Express and Amtrak were interested in leasing some of the equipment, but GO is such logical choice for a sale.
On December 30th, SPTX F59PHs 870 and 872 were spotted in CPKC Nahant yard and it’s unclear if they went to Chicago afterwards. Unclear if Metrolinx will buy the remaining F59PHIs 875 and 883 from SPTX along with 1 or 2 F59PHs from NCDOT that are sitting in Anaheim CA.
If it does the job who cares.
Because you'll never end up in a place higher than the one you aim for!If it does the job who cares.
GO is funded by tax payer dollars. When you run your own private coach business you can put whatever fancy screens you want.Because you'll never end up in a place higher than the one you aim for!
