My wife starts singing loudly (La-la-la-la-la) while sticking fingers in her ears every time he ends up on TV news. Prediction: the orange float will be dead from health complications before the end of June this year.

Prediction or wishful thinking? Not that I think it matters much either way - things would just be passed on from an unpredictable and erratic disaster to a more predictable and focused disaster.

It’s too bad that a country lauded - at least by itself - for it’s embedded and immutable checks and balances is proving itself just as capable of supporting a tin-pot dictatorship at home as well as abroad.

I have no idea how they will be able to restore a trustworthy reputation at home or abroad after voting for this excuse of a man not only once but twice and knowing both times - but particularly the second - exactly what they were voting for.

On average, women live longer than men, typically by about 5 to 7 years globally, though the exact gap varies by country, with recent US data showing around a 5-year difference (81 vs. 76 years) and Canadian figures showing around 4.4 years (84 vs. 79.6 years).

Place your bets!

^ Failed Drag Queen, smokey-eyed Just-Dance Vance is in line to succeed the Orange when he succumbs to health finalities. I agree there will be a lot of behind-the-scenes name-calling and arm-twisting but that should occupy the half-wits until the mid-terms when it looks like Dems will gain something like a 50-seat majority in the House and maybe a 6-seat majority in the Senate. Without a doubt Republicans are very unpopular currently and there is little chance that will change by the November mid-terms.

That will take longer than I have left in this reality. Generation maybe. if at all. The US as we knew it is gone. Carney pretty much said that as well. And if NATO survives and the US is part of it. They will be the lesser government. Even the UN will be changed.

Regrettably every prediction about his demise has been wrong. His downfall will not happen until the US has politicians with Balls and a backbone. What ever happens when he is gone it will not be pretty.

Listening to Jamie Diamond today when asked if CEO are afraid of Trump, His response was what do you want me to say.

This is such a dumb non-starter; Alberta cannot succeed on its own -- full stop! It is a landlocked Province for starters so it would get raped trying to trade product (oil or ag/forestry) traveling through the remainder Canada without AB. If it thinks it has a bad hand now, imagine what it would look like with no influential power external to its borders -- it would become the birdie in a game of external influence badminton!

Isn't the WEF in Switzerland?

I agree but it needs to be shut down, business is getting hurt. There is s much more that could be done here. It will be interesting what comes out of the cabinet meetings today.

Well it is easier to export watch parts and financial services than oil and forestry and farm products.

As for those wanting to rely on UNCLOS to access the sea, that access isn't automatic. It requires negotiating "freedom of transit" agreements with transit states to use their ports, roads, and railways and transit states can protect their legitimate interests in agreements based on reciprocity, defined terms of transport and logistics.

From Alberta’s perspective, it’s worth noting that UNCLOS specifically excludes any provisions for accommodating pipelines.

According to the well-educated and "progressive" member of the HOC representing Edmonton Strathcona Heather Macpherson:

@HMcPhersonNDP
"When Canadians need more stability and help, the government just cut 10,000 of the workers who keep things running. That choice means longer wait times, and fewer programs when people need it most."

People like Heather are economic and historical simpletons - they think taxing people to death can allow the government to create jobs and prosperity, eventhough this has been proven over and over again to not be effective. They think private businesses and corporations are evil greedy capitalists. She is an out in the open anti-semite who is an embarrasment to Edmonton. Yet she will win her seat in Edmonton's most "progressive" riding that is populated by supposedly academic and "highly educated" people. Its very interesting and reveals a great deal about the state of academia in this country.

Carney's on FIRE!
Alberta is a developed democracy with the third largest oil reserves in the world, plus agriculture, forestry, natural gas etc etc - and its located next the largest economy in the world - but according to you geniuses it doesn't have a chance to succeed on its own. Hilarious. The TDS on this forum is astonishing - China funnels fentanyl into our country, steals intellectual property from Canadian corporations (remember Nortel?), invades Tibet, is committing a severe persecution since around 2014, involving mass detention, forced assimilation, surveillance, and human rights abuses often described as cultural genocide against the minority Uyghurs population, threat democratic and independent Taiwan, support nuclear armed North Korea and their lunatic government that threatens Japan and South Korea on a daily basis and imprisons and abuses its own people, kidnaps and imprisons innocent Canadians, and according to the CIS has interfered in the last two Canadian Federal elections. Also, they are the lead source of plastic in the oceans and GHG emissions in the atmosphere. Plus they support Iran - you know that stone age government led by an 86 year old woman hating, homosexual hating, jew hating, western world hating, people of Iran hating Mullah who just murdered up to 20 000 protestors. But according to most people on this forum Donald Trump is the problem. Also, Carney is a NYC technocrat who has done nothing to help Canada since taking power and is playing a dangerous game to appease his halfwit Boomer base who are scared the marines are going to cross Lake Ontario. The only reason is he PM is due to votes from the Boomers. The damage these CBC addicted half-wits are doing to Canada is unbelievable.

The right man for these challenging times.
I never expected to vote LPC in the last election, but Carney made the right promises and has, generally speaking, delivered.

Wish they replaced Trudeau with him back in 2021.
Delivered what? Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and it can't even build a pipeline to get this incredibly valuable resource to Asian markets to help diversity our economy. The O&G industry in by far the largest earning industry in Canada and dwarfs the car and manufacturing industries. Even potash exports make more than Ontario's overrated car industry. Carney hasn't delivered anything except a dubious deal with communist China - you know the belt and road authoritarians who interfered in our last two federal elections and flood our streets with fentanyl and who represent 4% of our trade - he promised during the election to get a trade deal with the USA by July 2025 but he hasn't and now the CUSMA is in serious jeopardy which would truly be a disaster for this country. Remember the USA? you know the country that we do about 75% of our trade with - he has not "delivered' but made it worse. And he uses obnoxious loudmouth Trump as a scapegoat and the Boomers buy it hook, line and sinker. Under the Trudeau - Carney rule Canada has the lowest GDP Per Capita growth of all G7 countries, even lower than Germany, and has a crime epidemic, has one of the highest personal debt issues in the OECD, immigration issues and mobs of jew hating anti-semites roaming jewish neighbourhoods in cities chanting "kill jews" while the police do nothing - similar to what the KKK did in the south in african american neighbourhoods. But according to Policy Enthusiast and noted TDS espouser Archited everything is going great and Carney has "delivered". Its astonishing.
