Why is this parcel never included, was it an old CBC building?

If it is i never understand why the Province doesn't sell land in important locations for either market or below market housing.
It would be great to see that parcel developed. This is the perfect time for the province to do something with it.

As far as am aware lyric is a rental.
EV 606 was originally condos, got zero traction so had to pivot to rentals also.
Selling units now would be tough in EV. Nice part of the city but has alot of issues to resolve.
My assumption is that all of the remaining lots in EV will go rental - as the proximity to the DIC and Centre of Hope are too much downside risk currently to getting the revenues you would need to make a for-sale project work at the marketed land costs. Especially with a flat/downward market. Better locations exist to sell condos and some buyers have an aversion to the area because of the stigma (real or perceived). Mostly rental is a fine outcome for the community, but not an entirely balanced one.
