doesn't seem like the pedestrian bridge is happening anytime soon according to this
The WT page on the pedestrian bridge continues to say 2026. The 2025/2026 WT Annual Business Plan also shows all the expenditure in 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.

Pretty sure it's grant money that's a use it or lose it kinda situation so I think by the end of 2026 it'll be up....maybe not open, but definitely on it's way.

It is primarily government (taxpayer) money - there is a municipal election (and maybe a federal one) so you can bet things will open with great fanfare!

I can confirm the bridge install remains planned for this year. Whether every little thing about it is finished (fish habitat, landscaping) is a bit more in question.

It should open this year, but depending on when its dropped in, it could be early '27.

New details on the final design of the Keating Pedestrian bridge from Waterfront Toronto. I have to admit, I am terribly disappointed by the value engineering on this one. I normally can put up with it, but this should have been an iconic piece of infrastructure and they have made every effort to cheap out on this thing. The seating and lookout areas are gone, the bridge width tightened, etc. I typically don't like to post anything negative as I find there is already plenty of negativity on Urban Toronto, but this is a frustrating one for sure. Only upside is that we now have a timeline. Expected to start construction in 2026 and finish sometime in 2028.
