If people want to know whats wrong with this city read some of these comments
I saw that thread. Most of the comments are positive. Couple people thought the podiums might contain parking and were corrected. Couple idiots making tampon jokes.

For once, I think we have a project that looks way better than the rendering. Seeing the jet black glass of the podium below that deep crimson is something better seen in person. Even the photos on here are out performing the renders.

Its the one comment that said there to tall.
 
Calgary really has a crazy skyline for a city of its size. Has a better skyline than some American cities with 2/3x the population.

We will slowly start breaking the mold as many new projects are in the low 100 meter range. I think some people are just freaked out when they see a spot like LUX or Ascent initially as they just stand out there on their own.

The fact that some people thought the podiums were parking structures just shows the power of misinformation.

I for one am stoked to see the slope of this roof. While a spot like Envie has a sloped roof its more flat than anything else. Compared to these at least. This is more in line with Citigroup Center/ 601 Lexington Ave. in Manhattan.
