Another from a distance I took from Bayview.
With both this and Relevé, I still can't believe the final (or close to the final) products match the renderings almost exactly. Renaissance will as well it seems (though Rimap did cheap out with their two Market projects, but so did M+M with Riverain, tbf I think they are minority partners on that one).how DARE they follow the permit drawings exactly! lol, don't they know they're in Ottawa??
I'm inclined to agree with you. The exteriors are moving very quickly. With both this and Relevé, I still can't believe the final (or close to the final) products match the renderings almost exactly. That said, although Odenak is of a quality we haven't seen in Ottawa, it's probably a far cheaper build than it looks. The podia are complicated, but the towers are very simple with basic rectangular floor plates. The panels are prefab and very easy to install, requiring far less labour. Parking is only two levels down, and didn't require too much excavation because the site was already a bit of a hole. They got the site for cheap because of the significant affordable housing component.
Odenak Roof Height is 123.7m, not sure why we have 120m on the thread title.wow at it's current height it sets the tone and potential impact for the up and coming renaissance like shave a meter or 2 off this and plop it right where the renaissance will be and you get a pretty good idea of the impact of these new buildings.
