Considering how awful the Alstom Citadis Spirits have been, and they're manufactured in Brampton, I'm not entirley against this.
I want to support Canadian made trains, but not if they're of poor quality.
Hopefully the Mark V SkyTrains in Vancouver hold up well. I believe those were made in Quebe. IIRC the REM trains in Montreal are majority manufactured in India. Perhaps assembled in Quebec?
Where do they still manufacture heavy rail locomotives in Canada?
My guess is the Province is going to talk to Wabtec about supplying GO with new locomtovies, and they'll be built entirley in Erie, Pennsylvania.
