It is very fitting Howard Lutnick tried to insert himself here - he was banking against the tariffs which were struck down by the Supreme Court:

Screw Him and the Morouns.

Ps. How many people know about May 1, 2028:

In the vast majority of cases, it is the consumer who ultimately paid the tariffs.

Two of those seem ancient, Dave. And the other looks like it is from a clickbait site (propublica.com) and contains nothing we didn't know a month ago.

Was there something new in there that we had missed? I'm not sure what you are trying to show us.

It all goes to show what a problem the Morouns continue to be. They will always be exploitative of the location of one their prime assets, the Ambassador Bridge in West Windsor, and their business will always erode the communities around it because of their 'good business sense'. The government needs to be tough on them for the good of Windsor and our country's trade.

Minor quibble; ProPublica is well-known for its journalism and is legit and credible - certainly not clickbait..

How about blocking access to/from the Ambassador bridge for trucks that will have to use the Blue Water Bridge or Buffalo to deal with the idioties opposing the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge. Can force all cars to use the Windsor Tunnel with major hours of wait time

Someone should bring the idioties to the centre of the Ambassador Bridge with rope around their legs tie to a steel weight and be given the choice to allow the new bridge to open ASP of swim with the fish.

The road in Windsor to/from the bridge is damage on a monthly bases for 4 decades I have been on it to ether see family in Windsor or going to/from the US

Windsor mayor proposes toll for truck traffic using the Ambassador ...

Do you want to kill like a hundred thousand jobs? Because that's how you kill like a hundred thousand jobs. No one's goona want to detour, and most of those jobs aren't coming back after the political shenanigans are resolved.

Drew isn't stupid - he knows its not going to happen. Ford would never allow road tolls lol, he has literally passed legislation banning them. It's just grandstanding.
No kidding. An estimated 16,000 Windsor residents work in the Detroit area (healthcare is a big employer). They ain't driving to Sarnia every day.

They can drive downtown and take the tunnel.
In the world where this happens, they can keep taking the bridge. The proposal is for a truck toll, presumably it would cover the types of trucks that are prohibited from the tunnel. Windsor residents working in Detroit and commuting by bridge would not have a direct financial impact.
