So how does all this cross the Don to get to East Harbour. They promised a pedestrian bridge - but surely it would be crazy to not include a cycle path.
There is a cycle route along Commissioners that crosses the Don. The work on the Lake Shore East bridge over the Don includes a wide 'multi-use trail' It is on south side of the bridge and is shown in this @GameOnBrad photo. It does not (Yet) cross the bridge but that is clearly the plan. Not sure if there is a similar multi-purpose on NORTH side of bridge. What more do you want>

I meant the one that was going to be just north of the Lakeshore East tracks, towards the Corktown Common. Seems a bit of a missing link on that figure.
Yes, that's very much needed to make possible for people in Canary District to get to the new GO and Ontario Line station.

I think it's Metrolinx's responsibility though?

That is the continuation (south end) of the Lower Don Trail that runs on west side of the Don (at least at the south end). It is blocked until Metrolinx finish their new Don River bridge but will eventually go back to Lake Shore Blvd and branch east and west as it used to do. the new Lake Shore Bridge has a section for the bike and pedestrian track and that can be seen on some of the drone photos of that area. Maybe @hawc or @kotsy or other of our Drone Kings would feel like taking some updated shots??

Well one hopes that Metrolinx and the City are talking to each other. Or else the bridge will end at a fence somewhere :).

But yeah ... they probably aren't talking. Or Metroliengx lied to everyone once again during the public consulation.

The option south of the tracks is to cross the river on the new Lakeshore bridge and use the new Broadview to get to the station.

The option immediately north of the tracks is to take River to the ramp up the Eastern Ave flyover and cross the river on the south side of Eastern to Broadview.

Other bike/ped facilities seem like distant promises.

I have never in my 40 years of riding ever seen a wheelchair on the Don Bike Trail. If I ever see one I'll take a picture and post it on this thread.
Isn't that the point of making wheelchair accessible access points? Because it's really hard to get a wheelchair down to the trail right now, so nobody does?

It's like the old traffic engineer line "Why would we build a bridge across this river? Almost nobody is swimming across today."

A virtual public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7 (6 - 8 PM) for Phase 2 of the High Park Movement Strategy Implementation. Please attend to provide your feedback on park road design options as we move towards a car-free High Park.

Of note here, the proposed electric tram, the RFP for which was awarded, will not be delivered.

Council will now likely approve the same proponent, running the previous service for the next couple of years.

No panels yet public on the detailed infra. changes, presumably these will be public at the meeting.

But we do have a new project schedule.

Worth saying, however, is that the Project Updates right below this on the City Project Page, contradict the timing.
