Serious collision involving YRT bus at Finch GO Terminal this morning. Injuries reported. GO buses detouring to York Mills.

It was moving towards a platform and then suddenly sped up and crashed into a hydro tower according to a witness.
The TTC recently pulled all of their XE40s due to an unintentional/unrequested acceleration. Makes you wonder if something similar happened here.

Yeah. It was also at the Richmond Hill open house I went to on Saturday. I thought about asking if they heard about the TTC’s fleet grounding, but I didn’t want to be a downer.Its the 25th anniversary bus!!!!

Repairs of the hydro tower’s supposed to be three months apparently. They need to rebuild the whole thing.

Currently Yonge St at Hendon Ave is closed, they are fixing the powerlines damaged in the collision it seems.

They should really put some bollards around it to prevent it from happening again.
I bet who ever won that hydro bid to replace it is happy. Its probably worth a lot.
