please no 6-storey woodframes on Jasper ave, i beg you.

As others mentioned, would be a good spot for the park to expand with an actual formal beautiful entrance from jasper avenue, (imagine!)

Alternatively, i wouldnt mind seeing some well designed park pavilions that could host restaurants etc... Or just some good old fashioned well designed residential towers with proper podiums, like the parks, with park facing CRUs and such

Well no high rises being built nearby on empty lots, so tearing down a perfectly functional building here in the hope of something happening would be a mistake IMO, but the kind Edmonton seems to keep on making again and again.

I thought it was separate owners for those two parcels, no?

There were a couple dozen people in the park when I walked through yesterday

I have a feeling that this will be just fine. This year should see a lot of people discovering the park on their own. And with all the new residential coming and surrounding the park there will be many many more people frequenting the park. Add in a few days of events here and there of some sort of programming and the park will definitely succeed.

Rode through here the other day while enjoying my first bike ride of the year. One thing I will say is that the edges of the park, where it meets the back alleys and 106 & 107 streets, really needs to be integrated better. I know this forthcoming, but it looks pretty rough and incomplete right now.
