The fact that this is listed for $33 psf should show the lack of confidence in DT Edmonton. Only 22 stalls is awful too.

22 stalls....that's it. They will never be able to make a hotel work with that unless they can secure parking somewhere else and then they will need to provide valet service to all occupants.

that's a huge expense irrespective of occupancy rates.

I imagine they could form an agreement with whoever owns the parkade across the street. It's a hindrance, yeah, but not insurmountable I would think. The Holiday Inn next door makes it work too.

I find this viewpoint somewhat puzzling. This isn't some Sherwood Park motel. A true downtown hotel would not need significant parking. You wouldn't be serving people who've driven in from Prince George. You'd be serving the type of guest that's flown into town.

I mean considering the building has been fully vacant for nearly ten years and is being listed at $33 psf, the lack of parking has an impact.
 
The parkade across the street from the Milner has been closed for at least a couple of years now. Here's hoping that something sexy will replace it, but still retain some of the above-level parking.
