Work seems to be happening at a much better pace now.

Work seems to be happening at a much better pace now.
It started last year, more since February and will increase more starting May. Guideway on Hurontario done by September other than intersections depending on the number they want to do at one time. Track work will be completed by December. This leaves the overhead system completion timeframe which I have no idea at this time. Testing of LRV should start by the summer to Eglinton and moving south as more of it is ready for testing.

The big different between now and 2022-2024 is there is more manpower in the union halls and a company that far larger than BOTT who has supervisors and inspectors on site all the time than what BOTT was doing.

Hard to see but concrete being poured from Eaglewood to what seems to be Pinewood. Feels as if i see more done every time I pass by PC.

A good sign. It feels like last year I would look out and see no work done here, maybe some minor work on the PC station.

Not surprised as it was ready for construction since 2025 and going to 7/24 to meet the completion of the corridor by the end of the year. This will allow full testing in 2027 and opening in 2028. Depending on sidewalk work and the willing to put the line in service before it is done, a December 2027 opening date could be had,. Since this is the main transit hub area as well for traffic to/from the mall, any construction will have a major impact on everyone.
And in typical ML fashion, the notice I posted is no longer listed on the notices page, but still accessible by link.

You're absolutely correct. They're doing work in the middle of the intersection for the guideway / rails from April 17th 2026 to May 25th 2026.

The work on Rathburn may not happen as per the notice date, but will happen in May as there is very little guideway to be dug up other than intersections.

April 26,
Do to an unplanned event, had to rent a car that allow me to try to do a video of the corridor today that turnout to be a good and bad thing. A lot of work taking place on a Sunday that will become more a norm than the current 6 day week. Even hydro was doing work south of Dundas.

This Sunday will mark a first for the protestors at Burnhamthorpe Intersection as it was a gridlock going north that I used Robert Speck around Burnhamorpe and Absolute area with a fair number of police officers dealing with traffic. The protestors will not be allow in the area do do their setup.

I counted 10 LRV's in the yard and could be a few more as they are on a different tracks than the ones shot from a plane a few weeks ago.

All the guideways that were dug up all have concrete curbs including the areas for left turns, Ray Lawson intersection has the guideway on both sides of it now dug up to the crosswalk but not to the full depth.

Missing curb for the 407 bridge is a high one that is formed like the ones on the bridge.

Guideway on the south of the 407 bridge area ready for concrete work.

Crews were preparing the driveway for a business by the 407 terminal foe paving with all concrete work done.

Crews working on the tracks for the Eglinton Station so it can be pour this week.

Work taking place on the wye area.

Crews working on formwork to allow the topcoat for the whole block for Burnhamorpe station

There are now 10 OS poles from Matthews Gate to Fairview.

Crew working on John St Intersection

Hard to say if that last section of concrete south of Floradale was pour but Paisley base is poured.

Haff of the track work from the fire station toward Paisley has been poured with the rest of the driveway waiting the topcoat to be pour this week.

Small amount of track work still needs to be place from the Queensway to Sherobee intersection to be place on Monday to allow the area to be ready for concrete to be pour for it.

Rails been place in the guideway south of Sherobee.

Crews working on the QEW guideway and need a closer look at the east pier for the QEW as it all chip away or have added rebar for more protection from the LRV's

All guideway from Pinetree to Pinewood dug up except that one driveway for those townhouses. All guideway poured from Pinewood to Mineola waiting track work

Forming in place for Mineola Station and hard to say if it has seen concrete poured for it..

Otherwise, noting new for the rest of the corridor not noted.

I just noticed the other day that the crews working on the guideway section between the RBC / McDonalds near County Court Boulevard seem to have unearthed electrical that crosses the guideway path between both plazas. As a result, this section will more than likely be delayed until the connection is extended and buried deeper.

Depending on how deep it is and if it will below the guideway base, they will dig under it and install any utilities for it. They will backfill the area and pour the guideway base over it. This has happen a number of times when things are dug up and remain in place. The last one was in the north end of the guideway on Hurontario St for the ramp area over the 403 and did what I stated this month. There is a photo showing the work for it.

Haven't seen any location where a new one had to be built to replace the existing one, but may happen when I was not around. Was more surprised with the extra guideway dug along with the curb for the left turning I saw yesterday.

I'm sure they did it in other areas, but this section was pretty shallow compared to the other areas where they dug deeper. I'll have to stop by on a day off to take a photo and see what they do. I was on a GO Bus heading back to Brampton when I saw it and didn't snap a photo in time.

I saw that cable this morning and haven't seen this type in the past. It is above the base of the guideway and will have to be either removed or relocated deeper. Could be for traffic. it doesn't have to happen overnight or the next week as it can be done when they build the guideway across Ray Lawson either as phase 1 or two. Forgot the two guideways between Ray Lawson and Sir Lou were not ready for curb work when I saw it last and still are not.

I shot videos the last two days of the corridor and all have fail with the R7 for some reasons as i got videos from it before with no problems as well only a few months old.

As a warning to everyone, don't use Hurontario south of the QEW for northbound as it was gridlock at 9am as I was going south down to the Lakeshore. Was planning on going north on it to Brampton but use Cawthra that was backup south of the South Service Road. End up using the QEW to Hurontario and too three lights to get on it with only a few cars in front of me. A lot more cars line up behind than before I got caught trying to make a right turn. Took 3 lights to cross Hillcrest and saw nothing causing the backup for John St.

Video in the link. The first LRV is moving under its own power.

Michael Lindsay - "I'm proud to announce that we are still 18 months behind schedule and counting, and that we'll be just over 2 years behind schedule by year end; Thanks to the leadership of Phil Verster and our Minister Sakaria and Premier Ford we're on pace to finish not a day over 4 years late!" "I want to congratulate the consortium, the front line crews, and the management and consultants at Metrolinx involved with this project for achieving what no one thought possible; being 100% behind schedule! Just remarkable. "

What four year date?? September 2024 or December 2024 but it will be in 2028 sometime.. Given 2028 is an election years, they should shoot for a Q1 2028 opening date with a better date of December 2027.

If an LRV was move for the first time in the yard as posted, how have they been moved around in the yard from one track to another the past year but more so this year??
