Taken together this does not matter as there is no election in Ontario any time soon and we are stuck with Ford at least until spring 2029 or at worst until 2030. By then hopefully we have a solid opposition leader who can challenge Ford. The Liberals better not elect Nate Erskine-Smith or Nav Bains. Both would be awful candidates.
I agree with what you're saying just wanted to share the polls. But, most likely the next Liberal leader will be one of the two people you mentioned... so yeah. So much for that, especially Bains who I don't think will do well.

Bains would be awful as he is a political operative much like Jagmeet Singh was and he devastated the NDP federally. Both seem to fail to relate to people and appear to be power hungry. This province needs to get its shit together and act like a wealth generator for Canada instead of a laggard welfare recipient. The wastefulness and lack of strategy from Ford is terrible. He has wasted nearly a decade in power and he hasn’t addressed the economy here.

Erskine-Smith is none too popular in this article by Martin Regg-Cohn

Actually, I think Jagmeet's pitfall was less in his being any kind of "political operative" than in terms of his being something of a paper-thin "stunt leader" in practice. Whereas with Bains, the ethnicity is incidental--at worst, as "political operatives" go, he'd be Del Duca with a turban. (But at this point, he's more of a question mark than a true confirmed dud-in-the-making.)
