Printing Factory Lofts Condos (Beaverbrook Homes) - Real Estate -

I sent an email to Beaverbrook and recieved this response today: "As far as building progress goes, construction in moving along very well. Within a week you should be able to see the crane in place, meaning we are very close to starting the process of finishing the underground parking...

Hmmm.... Vedbetter, thanks for the tip - it looks as though you are correct. For anyone interested, the permit for the foundation was submitted in October '07, and is still under review. The application for the permit for shoring was made last September and approved at the end of April...

Meh. 3-4 months is acceptable. I'd rather move in June than February anyway. I've heard plenty of horror stories of delays lasting upwards of 2 years, so I'll consider myself lucky to get in there 3 mos. after the first scheduled move-in date.

Buying a Parking Spot with Condo a necessity?

I think it depends on the size and location of the condo. Mine is only 600 sq. ft., close to TTC, and I couldn't afford the extra 20 grand for a parking spot. Should I decide to sell in a few years, I figure many potential buyers will be entry-level purchasers, just like I am now: carless and...

The floorplans are pretty good... I'm trying to figure out if I have enough room to add a kitchen island/breakfast bar.

I'm in one of the Perpetua units: http://www.theprintingfactorylofts.com/pdf/traditional/perp_unit45.pdf Hopefully we'll have a dry year with no labour strikes or work stoppages. Fingers crossed... Also, if you're interested, the technical specs submitted to the city can be found here...

Catty Cakes / Tulip: Did you guys buy lofts in the original structure, the new mid-rise in the centre, or the townhomes?

    Toronto Toronto | 101 Erskine Condos | 106.07m | 32s | Tridel | CS&P

I find the comments about 66 Broadway a bit perplexing... I moved into a renovated one bedroom in that building about 5 months ago, and it is probably the nicest apartment rental I've ever lived in (and I've lived in 8 units in Toronto in the last 15 years). The renovated kitchens and bathrooms...

Toronto Condo Developer Misses the Mark with Facebook Advertising Campaign

I'd stay away from this project if I were you. The original buyers have been treated quite shabbily by the developer... have a look at this Facebook group for more info: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2316703531

Minto Roehampton Condos (Minto) - Real Estate -

I have lived at Yonge / Eg for the last couple of years. As has already been posted, there are great restaurants, pubs, a Dominion grocery store on the corner, bookstores, movie theatre... everything you could want/need is pretty much within walking distance, and it is very safe. It is also a...

My initial move-in date was for February '09, and that still stands as of right now. I expect delays, of course, which I'm told are typical with conversion projects. (A summer move would be nice.) I'm really looking forward to getting to know Leslieville after renting on Queen West for eight...

I recently purchased a small "traditional" loft at this development, and the process seemed to go smoothly. I see it is now under construction - so far so good. My brother recently pulled out of the debacle unfolding at Westside Lofts and bought at Abode. After watching him struggle with...
