    Toronto Toronto | Berczy Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s

I noticed they had to remove a whole section of pavers around the fountain today, looked like they were adjusting the slope, hard to tell. Anyone know what the problem is or do these guys just not want to face the project''s finish!

Finally the fence is down on the south side, the stone work is done, time to clean up the south side of the building which has been crane and construction central for 6 years. Lights need to go up, street needs paving, but finally no longer looking like a construction site. But what about the...

    Toronto Toronto | Berczy Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s

I've been watching this build for 2 years from my perch in the Berczy condo, every day comparing the progress from the day before. Such a complicated job to build a park of this caliber. But boy, is it slow, particularly lately on the stone work which is almost done. But every day, they seem...

Looking for high-end west-end Toronto condo for my son

Hello. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this. Have a 30 year old son, lived here for 28 years, moved to Montreal for work, now moving back. He's looking for a condo, probably one bedroom plus real den, perhaps 2 bedroom and two bathroom. He doesn't want to be in a big 40 floor...

Original Island Airport Terminal 1 (restore & repurpose)

I was down at Hanlan's today, took a look to see the old building, wondered if it had been turned into a restaurant, but it was sitting fenced in, neglected, old and looking like the plans to turn it into a restaurant had fallen through. Anyone know any update on this?

Market Wharf Condos (Context Development) - Real Estate -

Not sure if this thread is active, no recent posts, wondering if anyone knows the scoop on unit 3107, now on the market at 1 Market Street. Any info on the building or history of the building, problems, things people bitch about, management etc. I'm taking a look at it later today.

Yes, but when does the BMU get hoisted up and when does the derrick get taken down?

Anyone know when the BMU is being hoisted? Like to see it in action.

In the picture I posted, you can see a white section sliding out while the temporary red collar takes the load.

Crane is starting to come down. Remarkable how it removes it's own sections. From what I can tell, they build a collar (it's red) around the crane sections, it slides, and supports the load normally held by each section temporarily as they slide the section out. Then the crane, with the...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Pastizza is now closed as of a few days ago, corner of Market Street and Esplanade. New restaurant, a lot of money went into building the corner. I heard the same owners are simply re-theming. It's now Cresta Toronto: http://www.crestato.ca/

I read the National Post story. The story keeps using the word derrick referring to the new thing being installed. Definition is as follows: Def. Machinery. a jib crane having a boom hinged near the base of the mast so as to rotate about the mast, for moving a load toward or away from the...

St. Lawrence Condos at 158 Front St East (Cityzen, Fernbrook Homes) - Real Estate -

Went into the sale office today on the Esplanade. Units around 700 per foot, some more, some less depending on height and whether it's north or south. All the terrace units sold out, both on the 8th, 10th and 23rd floors. I would have been interested. Nothing very big, even the 3 bedrooms...

I understand that the small crane is going to be lifted up, lots of pieces recently delivered and on ground at base of crane, and that it will be used to lift window washing equipment/platforms into place. I get that, but why can't the big crane be used for that job? Why does the big crane...
