Walked by last night and noticed this building really bulges over the sidewalk.. I guess CF had to get creative to get every extra square inch

Is this building going to have concrete floors or is it just going to be those metal plates?

I wish they scrapped the UFO landings, those add no utility and look awful. I would love if this had inset balconies with green space and seating for people’s general enjoyment. Overall not my favourite office project built in the last 10 years, CIBC is the real gem. The height of this takes...

Yes exactly what I was referring to. Loved the idea of two towers on this site, it would have been like One York/Harbour Plaza which I think mixes pretty well and there's always foot traffic for retailers. Hopefully when this completes things return to normal otherwise it'll just be another...

I was talking generallly. Ben Myers mentioned commercial property owners could consider conversion if the office market doesn't bounce back to what it used to be. We saw this in Alberta when oil and gas companies stopped renewing leases / downsized and few tenants replaced them.

Interesting this site was originally proposed as office and condo with 2 skinny towers but now it's just 1 chubby office building. And there's talks of converting some office space to condos due to the pandemic. I prefer the original renders, the varying floor area in this building is a little...

Does anyone know when they are going to finish the mechanical box / roof? The glass doesn't match the pattern of the rest of the building

Does anyone know the future of the Redpath refinery?

Does anyone know if the brick inside the suites will be exposed or are they insulating and drywalling over it?

I wonder if today's crane collapse will accelerate the condo development

@AHK sorry I missed that you're right vehicle traffic flow at this intersection is a BIG concern. Cars are making turns in too many directions. I hope the city simplifies the lane configuration for less turns. (click image for larger view) The transportation study shows they intend to build 4...

I caught the tail end of the meeting but it seemed like a handful of area residents showed up. Some takeaways: - The development calls for reducing one lane of vehicle traffic on the southeast corner of Wellington & Simcoe as this would accomodate increased sidewalk space for the high ratio of...

I had a closer look at 145 Wellington and I'm impressed by the engineering documents, if the city can push them to use the highest energy efficiency standards and materials it could be a net zero carbon addition. However the high development cost will increase all other property values in the...

The Globe & Mail put out a story with the same sentiment I have about teardowns https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/toronto/article-by-wrecking-tall-buildings-are-we-contributing-to-the-climate-crisis/

So I combed through the documents on 145wellington.com and a green roof is included but probably only because it's required by a green roof by-law. I haven't been following real estate by-laws in awhile but I'm glad to see that's a thing. I would probably ask if they could add some parking for...

I live in the area and just got the community consultation notice. It's going to be Jan 23 @ City Hall Rm 4 from 6:30-8:30. I had no idea the site was rezoned. Kind of crazy a ~30 year old building is already being torn down. It did seem like the offices had been emptying out for the last few...

I wish the "space docks" were hollow. I wonder what the real thing will look like, these renders are never accurate.
