There's also the Longo's on Dundas, just west of Bay. Rip off city, and not too big though...

    No.

We found the pizza egg rolls a bit too dull. They were the disappointment on the menu. They're literally cheese and pepperoni in an egg roll wrap. Blah. But everything else is great.

They fry the dough, throw on the toppings, then bake it quickly.

It's a great spot. Wine on tap, and the pizza is awesome. We've been a bunch of times, and it's always been great. The white pizza is fantastic. Also, they now deliver.

That's awesome you're taking the time and effort to take care of that place! I've always walked past it and thought it would make a fantastic loft space, and I guess it will.

Kartelle Lofts on Queen (at Pape, Kartelle, 4s, ?) (was Film Studio Lofts) COMPLETE

They've replaced some windows, and are now adding brick. Slowly but surely. This is from about a week ago, but really, it hasn't changed much since then.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

No, the elephant and castle was south of the water fountain, on the west side, closer to where the Banana Republic for men is. And it had an exit on the street side as well.

    Bloor-Yorkville Scene

I know a few people working in the chain, and they say it's not doing that well in Canada, since the price differences between here and the US are quite insane. But even beyond that, it's not doing great in the states anymore either.....

I saw 2 construction guys on the roof this morning. I guess it's a start....

What ended up happening with the request for additional floors? Was it approved?

    Toronto Toronto | YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

There's also the RBC in Aura just a couple of blocks south of College. I think RBC has adopted the strategy McDonald's had on Yonge St in the 80's, when there was at least one for every subway stop on Yonge, starting at Bloor.

    Toronto Toronto | Pace Condos | 146.3m | 42s | Great Gulf | Diamond Schmitt

It was bought by Ryerson, so I think it'll be a parking lot for a while.

    Toronto Toronto | Atrium on Bay Expansion | 114m | 34s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

I think the media tower posts should be moved to a separate thread, since they don't really have anything to do with the proposed addition to this building....

    Church-Wellesley Village

Almost anything would be better than the garbage that was there before. It was always a nice patio, just lacked food, drinks, service.....

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Sony has closed most of their US locations, so I'd imagine there won't be one reopening in the Eaton Centre either. Once they're gone, they're gone!

Toronto Toronto | Ontario Court of Justice Toronto | 95.7m | 17s | Infrastructure ON | Renzo Piano

I remember hearing at some point, years ago, that the city refused to renew the lease with the province on old city hall. There was talk of turning it into a toronto museum.

    Random Ontario retail nostalgia

2 great memories for me - 1, the lunch counter in the basement of Simpson's, near the exit to the Thomson tower. It was cheap, not exceptional, but an awesome space with a bunch of 'u' shaped counters that the waitresses patrolled with coffee. Also, the cookie machine in the basement of...
