Is this for the surface parking lot? Or was that rejected by the city?

@archited where did you hear this? My info is about a month old now but the update I received at that time was that, while the project was certainly still progressing and planning work still ongoing, current market demands were being re-evaluated to understand how and when things should proceed.

Positive news and I'm glad that they went right after Cineplex's proverbial throat by hitting their Rec Room market with the additions (Banquet being a Rec Room competitor product). This entire project stalled out initially when Cineplex pulled the plug on their VIP theater/Rec Room combo that...

    Edmonton | Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

Any word on the lighting plans? I read somewhere that the fin lighting may not have materialized...

    Edmonton | Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

Really depends on the material choice. Brick/steel/curtain wall? Then yes not bad at all and a welcome addition. Other positive is that each of these projects concentrating residential growth will in turn fuel retail demand in the neighborhood. Looking forward to see ICE Phase 2 help link this...

    Edmonton | Connect Centre | 56.3m | 16s | ONE Properties | DIALOG

Is it @archited ? I'm not questioning as I haven't looked into this at all but did note a recent uptick in projects stalling out...

    Edmonton | Peak Tower | 99.06m | 23s | Lighthouse HM | Davignon Martin

@Daveography any word on whether they will be doing anything on the exterior? A reclad perhaps?

Apologies as this isn't the exact thread but thought this is a piece of insight that you will all appreciate.

    Edmonton | Encore Tower | 138m | 43s | Westrich Pacific | Dub Architects

This building is stunning. Kudos to Westrich for stepping past all of the Peregrine Points/Omegas/Icons/Fox's and other poor quality developments in order to firmly move up the Resi Tower bar. A Gene Dub masterpiece. Can't wait to see what he does given double this height ;)

    Edmonton | The Quarters Hotel and Residences | 280.1m | 80s | Alldritt Land | KENNEDY

makes sense. And I should clarify that my engagement with the head of sales was back in January, where she highlighted that things were progressing at a breakneck speed with the CoE and should be closing out in a few weeks. Regardless, the key is both of us are hearing the same around how...

    Edmonton | The Quarters Hotel and Residences | 280.1m | 80s | Alldritt Land | KENNEDY

@archited You don't expect new renders until the fall? Last update I had from the head of Sales on this project was that they were in the final stages of parcel amalgamation with the CoE which would subsequently enable real progress on the next steps (detailed building plans, retail &...

@Daveography any word on design changes? I'd hope that we see some significant modifications from the original render.

    Edmonton | Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

Folks, I decided to just contact the EPL leadership and have a response. Appreciate that they engaged in open dialogue with me, even if we don't necessarily agree. Please see below: "...Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your concerns. The cladding system is a product called azengar...

    Edmonton | Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

Really really disappointed if this in fact the case. Agree fully @archited @Nosirrah any idea why there is still such a noticeable "lip" between where what we now believe is the finished siding abuts windows? See image below:

    Edmonton | Peak Tower | 99.06m | 23s | Lighthouse HM | Davignon Martin

Agreed....I still have no idea what this is going to end up looking like. Are they planning a re-skin?

    Edmonton | Stanley A. Milner Library | ?m | 6s | EPL | Teeple Architects

@Platinum107 @archited agree with both of you in that, fundamentally, this will certainly be a very good add to the heart of our city. I fully expect to see an inspired interior realm with services and spaces offered that don't exist anywhere else in our city. As for the exterior form, I do...

Any final word on whether the current barnyard siding is the final finish?

    Edmonton | Edmonton Motors Lands Redevelopment | 170.07m | 56s | Pangman

Agreed and by no means am I comparing this to the Jasper & 108 project. In my opinion, when it comes to pure play residential towers, varying degrees of quality & excellence in design is both acceptable and expected. For instance, I'd argue that Jasper & 108, Encore, & CNIB represent the top end...
