They could have had them if they didn't retire the older busses so soon. As for storage, they could have put the old busses at CNE loop and at subway stations with bus platforms. If they get vandalized or damaged, the TTC could have just retired them at no incremental cost.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the entire presto system gets moved over to FareGo when the operating contract for Presto gets retendered.

Same here (I commute to London, ON), but any grocery store in Union would probably be way overpriced. It's probably less expensive just to hop on the subway up to College park where there's a Sobeys, Metro, and Loblaws.

Employee morale and the work culture at the TTC really isn't that great, leading many employees just not to care.

I think GO would rather have passengers pickup groceries at their destination station rather than have groceries taking up space on a rush hour train.

The station managers supervise station collectors, CSAs, provide emergency response, and retrieve fallen objects from track level. Doing rounds is a secondary role.

It's such a waste of taxpayer money, the city is literally fining itself. The only winners are the lawyers. The city should just plead guilty, pay itself the fine and move on instead of wasting court time and legal fees.

The promo booth is probably the most profitable (on a per sq ft basis) tenant when it's in use.
