    VIA Rail

No, it does not. If any seats become available, it's because someone cancelled.

According to the corporate plan, upgraded HEP2 trains will become the surge fleet. https://www.viarail.ca/sites/all/files/media/pdfs/About_VIA/our-company/corporate-plan/Corporate_Plan2018.pdf

That ceiling cover has the secondary effect of plugging leaks when it rains.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

They did say that you could tap your credit card onto the normal green readers soon once they get their act together in terms of implementing open payments.

I don't get why they didn't go with the glorified parking meter, this machine is probably a lot more expensive with almost the same features.

I swear that these are just glorified parking meters.

Here's a track schematic of the Chatham sub for everyone's reference: https://mega.nz/#!IFFz1KSA!YgsZ0oHHpVIcrzupEDywHlljK5UyFSVCRbLv_IMLSHo Slightly off topic, but if anyone has a copy for the CN Dundas or CN Oakville sub, I'd really appreciate it if you could send it to me.

I noticed that the fleet section was a bit less detailed than last year. I'm guessing that there were a bunch of last minute changes because of the announcement related to the new fleet.

    VIA Rail

I can't believe that VIA waited until 2019 to publish their 2018-2022 corporate plan. https://m.viarail.ca/sites/all/files/media/pdfs/About_VIA/our-company/corporate-plan/Corporate_Plan2018.pdf

Sorry for the graininess, this is the Juno awards train.
  11. L

    VIA Rail

Definitely, but it's a train not a plane. I'm not sure that it would yield that much in fuel savings.
  12. L

    VIA Rail

Yup, they're nice on the LRCs but not on the HEP2s.

So... I was on one of the rebuilt HEP2 trains and it was disappointing. The suspension is still terrible and the train was shaking as much as it was before the rebuild. The seats were the same as the ones on the LRC. They're hard and having the extra bumpiness of the HEP2 makes the ride pretty...

It's shown for all concession cards.

People who buy them online are idiots, you could get one yourself for $16.
  17. L

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

They can't do that because there are other agencies also using child card like GO, YRT, etc. What they could do is make an agency specific concession like they did with the fair pass.
  18. L

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

That would probably cost more than it yields.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Assuming that they didn't change how the VISION system interfaces with the presto readers from this diagram, the answer is no. However, the TTC could implement an agency-specific concession like they did with PS2.
