    Toronto Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

The moat has leaks. I guess for this purpose they figure it wasn't a concern, but the target state would have some retail in the old parking spots on the north side of the west moat and without the work to patch the leaks which is to be combined with the work to install bollards to have a...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Maybe we can get the station added to Doors Open permanently so that every May the public will have an opportunity to see the inside of Crosstown stations.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

I wouldn't be surprised if 50% of the cars blocking the streetcar are Ubers. Ubers make taxi drivers look like saints.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

Other than the possibility of the province switching from the selection of Gardiner rebuild hybrid option 1 from hybrid option 3, I think the province taking over the Don Valley expressway and Gardiner is a winning situation. If the province tolls or doesn't toll, it would be the difference...

    Toronto Toronto | Casino Woodbine | 31.85m | 11s | One Toronto Gaming | CGL Architects

The Finch LRT eventually. I came to this thread because I hadn't heard anything about a zoning application for anything more than "the destination" aspects of this redevelopment. This development is moving at a snails pace. Woodbine Live, which was expected to be a retail and entertainment...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

It would be nice if they extended the St.Thomas by-pass to the 401. As it is this is a pretty marginal improvement to bypass a stoplight in Talbotville.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

It could be argued that at this point there are no bold plans, especially ones that use existing transit ways and railway lines. The GO Midtown Line service has been a topic of discussion since the 1980s (and obviously had passenger railway service if you go back almost a century). A bold...

    Toronto Toronto | Finch LRT: Humber College Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arup

I would expect an extension to Woodbine once Woodbine gets the new GO station underway. Airport extensions that actually reach the airport from Eglinton and Finch West rely on the GTAA solidifying and funding a transportation hub plan which the pandemic put on ice. With traffic restored...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

So my concern with the presenting of three downtown options and one middle of nowhere option, is that the downtown options are not significantly different so in any vote the downtown votes will be diluted and T4 might look like it won. If they present another 10 downtown variations they might...

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yes, I'm surprised we haven't migrated to the red square, yellow diamond, and green circle lights to improve this.

    Toronto Toronto | East Harbour Transit Hub | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx | Metrolinx

Wonderful... 610mm is far enough between the two European standards so as not to allow something like level boarding, not aligned to the height of the TTC subway, nor VIA platforms at Ottawa or Montreal. Of all the platforms elsewhere in the world we would be compatible with Phillipines MRT...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Hopefully this deal included continuing with the Gardiner redesign to make lands available for Waterfront Toronto along the north side of Keating Channel.

Dufferin Street railway bridge repairs/closure (City of Toronto, near CNE)

I love the unintended honesty in signage. Expect delays.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

Seems like a crazy set of choices. - T1 - Go to the bus terminal and have lots of connections and a short one block walk to Main and/or Water Street. - T2 - Go past the bus terminal by 400m to a used car dealership for some reason?? - T3 - Go past the bus terminal by 350m to an easy connection...

    Mississauga Toronto | Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I might understand that. In a think fast situation it might be better to say stop than to say "you can't go this way" because a rapid correction could be to erroneously go the other way. I think I would probably opt for a solid red on top when all ways are red, and a red left arrow when only...

    Toronto Toronto | East Harbour Transit Hub | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx | Metrolinx

My fear is that it seems that if they do raise the platform they won't raise it to the more common 380mm, 550mm, 760mm, 1100mm, or 1250mm platform heights that would actually allow us to get off the shelf international trains sets, but instead choose some platform height that is in the middle of...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: Riverside-Leslieville Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

Is there any more detailed plans out for Riverside-Leslieville station? I have seen the TOD and city applications for almost all the other stations but this one for some reason seems to be behind the rest of them.

    Toronto Toronto | Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

It will not be like any other place that exist in the city today. They aren't building High Park or Brickworks, but this is a massive amount of space that will have many activities. It will not be City Place or Liberty Village because there is design review oversight for the whole area.

Toronto Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I would question the city finances if they were paying for dog playgrounds when all they need is a squirrel, a shoe, and another dogs...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I think the walkway provides extra capacity but duplicates the function of the tunnel. The bigger question is does the tunnel fail with the outage of a single elevator or were they smart enough to put in two elevators.
