    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I mean there is literally that vacant lot across from the TTC terminal . . . ., no reason it couldn't be a terminal with a tower on top

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

I appreciate that at least in this case, the second entrance actually feels somewhat meaningfully distant from the primary one. Chester comes to mind. . .
  3. superelevation

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If its for transit, getting stuff built faster is going to have a much bigger impact than the changes to the EA process.
  4. superelevation

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Aha, but thats the difference. The 99 is *just* the Broadway Express. There are also several other routes on Broadway with different stopping patterns. There is *no* Finch West Express.
  5. superelevation

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I like to remind people that the 99 in Vancouver moves like 50k plus per day, a lot more than Finch. So yes.

    Ottawa Transit Developments

Going to blow some minds here, but just because we do something does not mean it is technically "required" last time I checked north american transit is still in the stone ages.

But you could just paint lanes for an express bus, this is the problem - better than nothing is a low bar to clear, especially when spending billions. TTC has stated this on multiple occasions too, people have Tweeted at Stuart Green etc.

Or it's actually just that the light rail line is slow (as many have long suggested) and faces issues buses don't - it will simply not be competitive with an express bus. There was capacity, where is the Express? It is 100% the case - it's been stated by Metrolinx / Crosslinx countless times

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Vancouver and I think Montreal have figured it out . . . worst case let them each install their infra and when one carrier fails they will have to deal with it

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Pretty sure the same person was quoted about the community hub before, now that that problem is solved . . .
  12. superelevation

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

How about those driving giant suvs which can easily kill and maim have a modicum of responsibility?
  13. superelevation

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It hurts their credibility, they should both be on the surface.

Working from home vs. commuting to work during and after the pandemic

Not to shift the thread but one of my favorite things about the previous discussion was mention of return to office plans and reports on how busy downtown is, keep it coming folks!
  15. superelevation

    Calgary | Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Idk, little appreciated but theres actually a compatible model from Frankfurt - the origin of the Edmonton and Calgary stock referenced by RMTransit in one of his videos that combines two 25m cars into one, even longer than those for the Green Line - called the U5-50
