That's standard procedure for red eye flights because US customs closes around 8 or so. YVR has the same procedures. Just means people have to clear customs when they arrive in ATL.

I like the way the line west line is growing and I think smart choices were made in its design. But those parking moats between the train and the Misericordia and WEM really bother me.

The same provincial page shows Edmonton already has two cyclotrons, one at South Campus and one at the Cross Cancer Institute, so this development does not seem unfair to me.

I wish I knew what the economics were for the city to double 747 frequencies all day (forget LRT extension or a bus non-stop to downtown). From the times I've taken it, the demand is there.

There are other poison pills in Vancouver too, including sewage and power requirements for laneway homes. Front-back duplexes (at about $1.3M each) are the most common infill in Vancouver at this point, other than 6-storey buildings on major corridors.

The city has redesigned its tableau showing cyclist and pedestrian counts. Somewhat easier to use, imo. It shows a healthy increase in the number of cyclists in February. Link to the tableau
