A 100-room hotel is planned for 2025 construction start on a vacant site at 4711 Ontario St in Beamsville, near the QEW access ramps (opposite corner of the access ramps from the larger hotel + condo proposal shared in a separate thread last week... This would be closer to the future Go train...

No news about this project from me. Just a "before" aerial photo of the very large site.

I haven't heard of any updates to the plans for this one, but I would expect we see a revised proposal that honours the heritage requirements of the existing building. In the meantime, here's a "before" aerial photo.

Looks like 5/6 storeys structurally complete and 4 storeys are enclosed already. The first apartment building in real proximity to the future Queenston LRT station.

At 30 storeys, it's nice that the buildings don't interfere with the view of the top of the escarpment on the other side of the Dundas Valley (needlessly provocative comment fully intentional) :) But also, really nice addition to the skyline that these buildings bring!

Glad to hear affirmation that the project as proposed is not likely financially feasible. These sites need to be zoned for double the height they're currently approved for if Hamilton is serious about zero urban boundary expansions, so I'm content to see these projects stall until a major...

Conditional Site Plan Approval is in place here. That is often the last municipal approval that a developer gets before applying for building permit and starting construction.

Crazy that when these Market St buildings are done and LRT is running 10 years from now, the Hampton Hotel will still be under construction, and the neighbouring apartment tower will have played leapfrog with Good Shepherd Square!
