    Hamilton Toronto | Delta Secondary Redevelopment | 50m | 14s | New Horizon | Graziani + Corazza

This notice was printed in today's Spec. Does this mean the City is sticking to its all-along stated intention to have the developer preserve the existing wings of the former school, sending the developer back to the drawing board for what will result in a more modest density? To the previous...

Port Colborne Toronto | Chestnut Park Affordable Housing | ?m | 5s | Port Cares | Whiteline Architects Inc.

41 new affordable homes are under construction in Port Colborne through a partnership between the City and a local community agency. Novae Res Urbis coverage from 2021 - https://www.portcolborne.ca/en/news/PartneringinAffordability.pdf Render And a construction progress update from...

I see WR Connected has no photo updates since the end of August but that's 1.5 months better than what we have here currently so here's the progress update from back then, pre-crane installation:

Yep. Some sites in tight areas mobilize a whole bunch of these, like Westport Condos in Port Credit recently (below). TV City has a few underground levels I believe so it could also end up looking like the photo below by next spring.

    Hamilton Toronto | Television City | ?m | 32s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Photos from this weekend: And a question... Under a small depth of shoring planks is what appears to be a concrete wall.... What's the logic behind the concrete being almost but not quite all the way to the top of the hole?

    Waterloo Toronto | Allen Square | 40.9m | 10s | Axia Geocapital | John MacDonald

This interesting proposal will remove the entire brutalist exterior of a 7-floor office building, then add three storeys in addition to a new exterior to develop 132 purpose-built rental homes above ground-floor commercial step from an LRT station. Not sure who the architect is. Council...

    Kitchener Toronto | 87 Weber Street East | ?m | 32s | Vive Development | R+L

Interesting proposal in east downtown Kitchener at the site of a row of historic yellow-brick detached homes, a few doors down from The Scott and basically across the street from the recently-completed Civic 66 apartments. 32 floors, 440 homes, 14 vehicle parking spaces (yes, fourteen), 414...

    Kitchener Toronto | TEK Tower | 144.5m | 45s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

Another aerial photo from WR Connected. Looks like they're forming the walls of the fourth podium level, meaning they're just surpassing halfway on the six-floor site-wide podium. This emerged from the ground at the end of May, so that would suggest the podium will complete and the faster...

    London Toronto | Centro Apartments | 135.3m | 40s | Old Oak | Stantec

This tower has progressed to the point of being London's tallest structure now. Old Oak shared photos of the view from their current peak of the building this week. Sunrise:

    Hamilton Toronto | Augusta Block Buildings 2 & 3 | ?m | 8s | Core Urban Inc. | Lintack Architects

Core Urban hosted an Open House at Greystone this weekend. Photos from Joe. The commercial space on the ground floor will be a hot-food-serving franchise of the Hasty Market chain. So a sort-of solution to the long-time hopes of the Corktown nhood for groceries. View from the balcony of a...

    Hamilton Toronto | 75 James Condos | 108m | 34s | LIUNA | Graziani + Corazza

Photo from the weekend. At 7 storeys up, this has just crossed the 20% of height mark. 80% left to go :) Photo by Joe

    Hamilton Toronto | 64 Main Street East | 59.83m | 19s | Core Development | Studio JCI

Nice architecture, but the City should be allowing double the height at that location. Sad to see such little housing here.

    Hamilton Toronto | Jamesville Redevelopment | ?m | 20s | Marz Homes | Kirkor

There could be a bright side to all these delays if it could somehow lead the City and the developers to scrap the completely awful plan as it's currently proposed. The Province just announced yesterday that it would honour Hamilton's desire for a frozen urban boundary, while the City of...

    Hamilton Toronto | 77 James Street North | ?m | 30s | Harlo | srm Architects

I recall In8 saying they wanted the building vacated last year Dec 31 so they could demolish the buildings this past spring. So much for that, unfortuantely. In the meantime, looks like some very preliminary early interior demo has started per these photos:

    Hamilton Toronto | Television City | ?m | 32s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

How rare and nice for them to share their total project cost! That makes it easy to run the numbers against their sales material to calculate their profit. I think it's safe to assume that figure accounts for soft costs, in which case Lamb will walk away with $131M profit, over 25% on this one!

    Hamilton Toronto | The Design District 41 | ?m | 31s | Emblem Developments | Arcadis

Wasn't that path what we now call King St/ Hwy 8? I really appreciate these pieces of history, so if there are indigenous roots in the Wilson St path, I would love to know where you learned about that.
