concrete is progressing nicely and the overall massing is really starting to shine but it is really odd that the façade panels are so far behind. i wonder if they are experience production issues?

We talk such a big game in this city about rail deck park, air rights, etc. These two neighbouring buildings seem like the perfect opportunity for more development above the rail tracks while also creating some new green space (P.O.P.S.)

i thought the new bridges were supposed to open today. i went this morning; still closed to construction. is there an updated WT timeline?

i haven't walked around the area for over a month. does anyone have recent photos? i'm excited to see more details emerge.

This project is such a revelation. When I was taking my pics yesterday, I was looking at the facial reactions of other people walking around the circle and I can say that the overwhelming majority had a look that expressed calmness. It is amazing what a well-conceived car-free space can do for...

These incredible aerials make it so much more apparent (and it was already extremely apparent) that the Gardiner must go. In this time of unprecedented city growth, we are presented with this generational opportunity to fix a scar. Why is the right decision so difficult to make?

I did email WT and they responded with this: "Thanks for your interest. Another drone flight update is in the works and will hopefully be posted in the next few weeks." It'll be especially interesting to see the Lake Shore Bridge and the Debris Management Area.

Is the last Waterfront Toronto aerial video "Construction Progress in the Port Lands" from April 2023? Have they stopped issuing them, for some reason?

such an impressive project but i wonder why/how the shape of the park (rail deck) was defined. the composition of the north/south towers spanning the rail corridor would be more powerful if the park was rectangular. does anyone know why the park was shaped like this?

i agree with you; my suggestion of a commuter parking is far from ideal. parking garages can be built as interim solutions until our public transit network can grow substantially enough to deem the parking unnecessary. the garage, if designed properly from the get-go, can then be converted in to...

This is such a gross misuse of valuable land. If the storage yards et all were built in a way where developers could’ve decked over them and built above them (a la Hudson Yards, NYC) to create a mixed-use neighbourhood. It would have been the most transit-connected neighbourhood in Toronto...

does anyone know when the duct bank (currently located where the vehicular entry will daylight) will be demolished and relocated?

in this diagram it looks like the Cherry streetcar travels north of King to Queen (along Sumach). is this accurate?
