I'm very curious who the commercial tenants are going to be. Wonder of they've been sharing with tenants?

The Design District and the 75 James will surely put a slight stall on owned units until they are all sold. Because most developers sell before construction it's going to be tough to beat done in 1-3 year condos with done in 5 year condos. I'm actually more surprised there isn't more starts in...

I mean, a lot of that is essentials that offer walking distance amenities. From Google Maps: - Shoppers offers prescriptions, basic food supplies - Dentist - Laundromat - Drycleaner - Bank - Variety store - Bar, food and meeting place They're nothing beautiful, but they're essentials that...

According to the SSP post, this was denied. Gotta love a written letter from someone who lives in a similar height building pulling the ladder up behind them because of the oversupply of housing we're finding ourselves in and lack of commercial space crisis...

If you click on the link at the top of the page, there are usually a few renders and stats. This page shows the podium being 6 floors or 7 in some places on the southeast side at least.

I had a coworker who lived right beside the police station and it didn't really change anything. Largely because the police are a reactive force rather than a proactive force.

It'll still be a massive change for the area. Toronto still has huge parking lots in parts of the downtown too, but the area isn't terrible until they get filled. I suspect unlike Toronto, most of these will quickly be filled in the coming years. There's just too much available parking and too...

While this isn't great news, I'd suggest it actually explains a bit about why this project exists at all. Slate's office portfolio is struggling and so them getting into the light industrial and warehouse market makes a lot of sense to me. That being said, I don't know shit about this field...

The tacos were honestly excellent, came with fries and a pop too. Again. They really should have led with that.

I really wish they'd mentioned the free tacos. I attended this, and ran into some familiar faces from my cycling circle, and some others, and saw both Cllr Hwang and Nann there. Really cool building I've never seen before, and mostly the same as what was published before but blown up into really...

Yesterday, floors and some walls for floor 9:

Honestly this looks okay, but I think my biggest criticism is the 3rd and 4th floor. I think they meet the glass portion in a bit of a mess. I personally think they should have raised the second floor design up to the 4th floor and started the glass there. As it is it's kind of a disaster...
