    why not both? I'm probably projecting, but if art imitates life (in the current social climate), then it makes sense we are getting architecture that strives to be inoffensive, flat, clean/sterile, detached from context, and above all economical (ie grey).

    I actually like that the ED has the tabletop, mostly because they are forgettable, cheap builds anyway. It'll make buildings like 19 Duncan and Forma poke through the cheap glass ceiling and get the attention they deserve.
