Yeah but the office portion of the tower has disappeared from the new rendering. And that part of the tower's facade made the development look rich. With its rich fancy ivory looking columns. That would have stood out on Kings st entertainment district! They should have left this development...

The tower probably has smaller floor plates being at that 250m mark. Combining the 80 storey tower worth of units with the old podium building put together lol!

Watching Koop's flyby really shows how much the Scotia Tower is going to be unstructed in view. By these new proposed 200m plus towers near it. And as seen in the photos up above driving south on the DVP wow!

Off topic but when is someone going to change the new bummer hieght status of this blog lol!

What a difference it makes using a bronze tone cladding around the windows of this development as seen in the photos up above! Which is well needed in the downtown core instead blue, green or white and black, nice lol!

No hotel just condo with having 20 affordable units from what I heard but don't know about the highest condo!

Why does the Forma towers have the right to be more imposing to begin with! It's not right to give them the height that they have, to not only one but two towers. This tower deserves at least 280m in hieght being across the street from the Metro Hall. Then I wouldn't mind as much to be fair!

This development deserves to be a supertall because of its rich detailed facade etc! Chopping it down that much is like a slap in the face to the developers building it! Saying you're not worthy of being tall ! !

All these proposals will eventually get built when demand is there. But for now they're are getting the buildings passed at the desired hieght which is an important strategy for the city's tourist area. I watched NFC council yesterday about the Stanley District condo project that is draining...

It's nice to see a comeback of early 20th century art deco style buildings. To replace the old brick building in the downtown core. Especially on the Spadina Ave corridor keeping that old rustic vibe feel alive lol!

I have a feeling this is going to be a beautiful unique looking condo when finished!

It's always the window's trim that decides weather the facade will look rich or cheap in my book lol! You can never go wrong with black or real dark trim. It makes the cladding and window trim pop out ! light coloured trim makes the majority of facades look kind of cheap. And that's we see...

That's true ! One thing I think they should have done to make the facade more rich looking. Is to at least have a dark brown or black windowpane trim colour instead of a tan colour. Even though there's contrast it makes the building look a little cheap in my opinion.

One thing I see in this development that Toronto hardly ever does. And I can't understand why it's well needed in the downtown core. Is recreating a podium thats from the late 19th to early 20th century that wasn't there before. At least to my knowledge lol. And designing a tower on top that...

I can't believe how rich this building looks in the photos up above! Now that you can see the trim work. This building has soul to it with solid looking cladding and real rich dark glazed windows not seen here since the Scotia Tower days lol in my book lol!

Now that the basement has been filled and compacted. I was wondering when will they start the shoring process? Or will there be a delay of some sort before construction begins just wondering lol!

Menkes has a good record in creating eye popping condos on the the waterfront so far. With these two towers and Harbour Plaza Residents towers. Which stand out from the other towers by the waterfront area whether you like them or not !

It looks like at least three towers from the this development will be above the 150m mark. With the highest one being over 182m having a total of proposed in the city of Toronto at 225 skyscrapers. And with the over all built, contsuction etc bringing total at 352 wow !
