I feel I might be alone in this, but yay Taco Bell! 😂 😋

Forgot about them! But even "Scotia" is obfuscating their old name, "Bank of Nova Scotia" a bit. I wonder if some people think it originated in Scotland? 🤔

Yes, and if we consider beyond downtown, the old Yorkdale location appears to be completely empty right now.

Yes, it was fun shocking my friend from New Jersey with that fact. All the banks moved to using their initials as their official branding around 2000 which I heard was to open up the possibility of becoming more international.

My main complaint with the move is that we could have had something new at OP & kept the OSC where it was (with some necessary repairs & renovations, of course). I advocated for no new building in the parking lot, and for the pods to be rotating exhibits curated by various museums around Ontario...

Agreed! One update - the parking is now moving over to the Exhibition grounds, so even that big drawback has been removed.

It is mainly a water park with a spa component on the smaller upper levels. They are suggesting a preliminary entrance fee of $40/adult with cheaper rates for kids & families (same as the price to enter the water park in Niagara Falls and around the same as CN Tower or Wonderland). I assume...

I attended the walk around OP last spring & they said there is supposed to be a substantially large portion of the new Science Centre built on the mainland where there's currently a parking lot. The island west of the last pod in your photo is where the new water park & spa will go, so yes, the...

I have no idea what others would do, but I'd go skiing by train. I'd also sometimes go up to Collingwood for the ski town & spas without actually skiing (ass several of my coworkers & inlaws do). Heck, by the time anything like this comes to fruition, I'd be too old to ski anyway.

That stretch is currently a bit desolate to walk along due to the lack of retail. Am I wrong in understanding the new proposal is the same?

Alternatively, the emptied out former Nordstrom spaces could use a new tenant.

That one's interesting too, but this is the one I meant:

Very much so! When I googled to see if I could find the name of the club you were referencing the first photo that showed up was of Savage Garden & had two of my good friends in it.🦇

We definitely have. The whole Collingwood ski area owes it's birth to this train according to this article I first read two years ago: https://onthebaymagazine.com/ski-train/ If you feel like weeping, there's also a time lapse out there somewhere showing a map of all the train lines in Canada...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

As far as I can see I'm the only one who mentioned bike trails but I did not criticized the project nor say anything about the clear cutting being excessive. I said "I doff my hat" as in I wanted to pay my respects - that's it. Please leave me out if this!

Thank you! Never made it to that one.

    For sure! I❤🚲 lanes everywhere!

Well, I guess it's good that technically bike lanes could go in here without expensive excavation. Now to make it so! 🤞
