    Toronto Toronto | Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

The streetscape can definitely be improved along this stretch of Queens Quay but the sugar refinery is one of the most visually interesting things along the waterfront. No need for it to be replaced with more condos or "waterfront innovation centres".

    2018 Provincial Election Transit Promises

I believe at one point that area was considered for a stadium for the Raptors to play at.

    2018 Provincial Election Transit Promises

Kind of off topic: With the DRL now funded and work is at a stage where planning has progressed significantly (approximate station locations, station entrances, etc), but the project itself is not "shovel ready", I'm wondering if the cancelled Eglinton West subway line was past the stage where...

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

There are a few stations beyond the identified corridors that were also shown at today's meeting.

I think they're actually going to be reusing the to-be decomissioned Scarborough RT's Line 3 designation.

    Climate Change & Toronto

I'm seated somewhere in the back there! Not a ton of people like Kathleen Wynne right now, but she's a great orator.

    U of Waterloo vs. Ryerson

What was your average if you don't mind me asking? Yconic has people with 97's waiting for acceptances. Still waiting for acceptance for Waterloo, got into Ryerson's program :p

    2018 Provincial Election Transit Promises

Imagine this: Doug Ford is chosen as leader of the Ontario PC's. He narrowly defeats Kathleen Wynne's Liberals and Andrea Horwath's NDP. His transit plan is "subways, subways, subways," and he halts any work on the Finch West LRT and changes it to a subway. The LRT is currently forecasted to...

Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

I lived in one of the buildings as a child. The elevators were terrifying, more than once they closed on me and wouldn't budge.

$20+tax, but I don't think they'll be selling the temporary maps, the thumbnail already shows the new map coming in December being sold.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Funny, can't find a tweet from them announcing the release of the card with horizontal text. But based on pictures found on their Twitter, after December 2013, but before February 2014.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

From what I know based on tweets, the one with braille was introduced in early 2015.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Just missing one more: the horizontal green card without the braille! By the way, where did you find the vertical green card? I've been looking one for ages, for my own collection too :P

That's me! Today's open house was very cool. Highway 407 station looks especially grand with the sweeping curves.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

Another Grade 12 checking in, also trying to get into planning at Waterloo. Good luck everyone.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

https://twitter.com/femwriter/status/914990176484646913 Not all Shoppers have exhausted their old stock of green Presto cards, but according to Twitter, the Queen / Carlaw Shopper's has the new black ones.

This is a Yonge-University Line train terminating at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre A bit long, but I could definitely imagine announcements like that happening.

    Toronto Toronto | The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Does the CN tower count? Early models of the CN tower looked kind of funky with three columns and all. Looked a lot more like a broadcasting antenna than what we have today. What we got was much better.
