    Toronto Toronto | Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

A couple from Saturday May 28th: The top of Pinnacle's One Yonge is forming up as well.

    Westin Harbour Castle (?, ?, ?)

I was recently in Quebec City (for the first time) and found Westin Harbour's cousin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%B4tel_Le_Concorde I was shocked at the similarity. I couldn't track down if it was the same architect though.

    St Lawrence Market

It's still going to be very confusing IMHO. I still don't see the benefit of that one small section being bus-only compared to the headache it creates. If they made it bus-only over a longer distance I'd be more appreciative of the change.

    Post a good floorplan!

Yeah my first thoughts were having both a vestibule and a foyer seems like a waste of space the walk in closet(?) by the vestibule seems a bit too much as well the second bedroom has access to the balcony but the master doesn't? the heat pump is outside the unit with it's own door? I'd love...

Toronto Toronto | Sherbourne Common, Canada's Sugar Beach, and the Water's Edge Promenade | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | Teeple Architects

Sherbourne Common North has really crappy playground features. I mean, compare what they have vs the St. Lawrence playground, and it's obvious why it's so dead and underused. Sherbourne Common South is good, although I wish they ran the water more often. I do like the big grass fields which I...

Yeah that balcony pattern is done a lot better than Daniel's Lighthouse swirl.

    Gas Prices...

We are going to do a road trip to Montreal and Quebec City (with lots of driving to the national parks near QC) for Victoria Day long weekend (with extra vacation days on top). The higher gas prices is not going to help with the budget, but it's the world we live in. Need more charging station...

    Toronto Toronto | 65 George | 67.32m | 17s | 10Block Studio | Core Architects

Yeah George St. north of Shuter/Moss Park is where it gets sketchy. King/George on the south side is a nice "sleepy" area IMHO - north side has the George Brown campus so gets a busier.

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022)

I'm pretty confident that Ford will win again - and possibly a majority as well. Most of my friends whom were financially adversely affected in the past 2 years have eaten up Ford's bribes, and promises of more highways and transit.

    Toronto Toronto | Parliament Slip | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | West 8

Wow that does look really amazing. It looks like there will be a park beside it as well from another development?

75 on The Esplanade (Harhay/Carttera) - Real Estate

From my anecdotal experience of living in 3 separate new builds, elevators and fire alarms are always an issue the first year or so. There will always be elevator problems of course, but yeah I found the first year there always seem to be more kinks (rush to finish and got sloppy with the...

Time and Space Condos (Pemberton) - Real Estate -

Probably best to get the condo board to look into EV chargers. My old condo did that and anyone interested had to pay up to get an EV charger installed in their parking spot. The more people interested, the cheaper it was per person. I was tempted but knew that I would be leaving and so...

    Toronto Toronto | Wonder | 31.7m | 8s | Graywood | Diamond Schmitt

Maybe it's too early to judge, but it's not looking so good based on the images above. The gray cladding, all the lines from the small windows....

    Toronto Toronto | Lofthouse on Logan | 24.38m | 6s | Grid | COMN Architects

It's not perfect, but I really like this addition to the neighbourhood.

    Toronto Toronto | East Harbour | 214.2m | 65s | Cadillac Fairview | Adamson

That 5% for affordable housing is pretty dismal.

    Toronto Toronto | Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

I hope with the summer weather and outside patios, the Yard will look more lively and inviting. Did not know Against the Grain was gone! Hopefully the new bar/restaurant will open up soon.

    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I'm excited, but I find that IKEA is always out of stock for the items that I'm looking for. :(

    Toronto Toronto | Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

The Indian restaurant Chaksa (sp?) and the Ins Market has also opened. So I believe that's all the stores in the Yard (except for GLB which should be pretty soon). I don't walk by/through that often, but foot traffic seems pretty lack lustre. :( I think it needs a cheaper and more famous...

Three weeks in London, UK (plus one Covid week in Essex)

Ah nice! I visit London every now and then as I have a friend living in the outskirts that I can bum free lodging from. The ~1hr train ride into London isn't bad at all. Both times I went to St. Paul's it was too windy to go all the way to the top unfortunately. My favourite places in...
